Warning: Viewer discretion is advised!
These are the films that take their time showing the creative dismemberment of their casts: “torture porn” is the name given to movies with an inordinate amount of fierce, vicious and gruesome violence. But it's sadism for the sake of sadism, and these films revel in showing all the blood, guts and other disgusting things they can get away with. In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com counts down our picks for the top 10 torture porn movies. Obviously, these clips contain mature and graphic images, so viewer discretion is advised. With that said, we hope you didn't eat a big lunch.

#10 – “The Devil’s Rejects” (2005)

This bloody sequel comes from the mind of Rob Zombie, who also brought us… The serial-killing Firefly family is running from both the law and bounty hunters, and you’re rooting for them from start to finish – against your better judgment. A visceral homage to ‘70s horror, “Rejects” also features typical R.Z. traits: faces getting slashed, bodies nailed to chairs, lotsa people getting gunned down. Nothing beats family bonding.

#9 – “Martyrs” (2008)

This French Horror film shows the lengths some people will go just to hear the word of God. Two orphan girls find themselves on the receiving end of a secret society’s twisted agenda to create “martyrs,” which are beings who come closer to God through painful subjection. Psychological torture goes hand in hand with the physical torment in this flick, which revels in its brutality to religious degrees.

#8 – “Cannibal Holocaust” (1980)

Also in:

Top 10 INSANELY Violent Horror Movies

Filmed as a found-footage documentary, this Italian horror film was so realistically gruesome that it was banned across the world and its director was arrested. The premise? A rescue group heads deep into the Amazon to try and save a group of filmmakers. Instead, they discover their raw footage, which shows the crew subjecting natives to rape and murder – all in the name of exciting video. Harold Monroe sums it up best: “I wonder who the real cannibals are?”

#7 – “Untraceable” (2008)

When a psychopath starts posting videos of him torturing people – and one cat, Diane Lane learns what we all found out a long time ago: the Internet can be a sick place. But the real creepy element comes from the support the killer gets from viewers who encourage the carnage. For a movie so dead-set against torture for torture’s sake, it sure features enough of it. Poor Colin Hanks: no one deserves an acid bubble bath.

#6 – “The Passion of the Christ” (2004)

Also in:

Top 10 Torture Scenes

Surprised? Mel Gibson’s controversial yet hugely successful depiction of Jesus Christ’s final hours shows just how brutally the son of God was condemned. We all know the story: beatings, hangings, crown of thorns, the crucifixion. But even though we’ve heard it about a thousand times, Mel decided to really show us just how bloody the New Testament can be – and shock of shocks, a couple of people were offended.

#5 – “Final Destination” series (2000-)

Top 10 Horror Movies That KILLED OFF the Final Girl

Here’s one series that proves just how creative Death can be – creative, and darkly funny. When a group of friends cheat the reaper, everything around them becomes a potential hazard as they’re systematically killed off. Ranging from run-over by bus to the always ingenious burnt alive inside a tanning bed; Death is never one to shy away from using everything and anything to get his due.

#4 – “The Human Centipede” (2010)

Also in:

Top 10 Worst Horror Movies of the Last Decade

This needs no introduction: it’s the cult film about a deranged doctor who kidnaps and surgically attaches three victims together from, uh, mouth-to-butt-hole, all in the name of science. And if that’s not the most shocking and unhinged movie plotline you’ve ever heard, well, you my friend deserve a prize. With revolting visuals and an ambiguous ending, this morbid, stomach-turning frightfest will probably have you avoiding the doctor’s office for quite a while.

#3 – “Cube” (1997)

Also in:

Top 10 F*%KED UP Origins Behind Disney Movies

This 1997 Canadian film finds five strangers trapped inside a giant Rubik’s cube, where each panel could be hiding a deadly trap. As the pressure mounts, so does the turmoil between the characters – but who cares about that? Make with the brains, right? Bizarre mathematical puzzles, disturbed psyches and the always popular razor wire death make this film a harrowing warning about paying attention in math class.

#2 – “Hostel” (2005)

Top 20 Scariest Horror Movies On Netflix

This is the flick that spawned the term “torture porn.” Eli Roth’s gory masterwork demonstrates what people will do in the name of entertainment, and why you should think with your head and not something else. Traveling through Europe, three friends end up at the mercy of vicious businessmen who get their kicks from torturing victims. The drills, chainsaws, blowtorches, and other weapons of pain make us think one thing: maybe Cancun would have been a better choice?

#1 – “Saw” series (2004-10)

Also in:

Top 10 Movies You Didn't Know Had An Animated Series

These flicks keep bringing in the money and churning out the gore. Despite a complex and, at times, deep story, the killing spree of the eloquent murderer known as Jigsaw is remembered best for the games he plays with his victims, which he states are simply people who’ve lost sight of how important life truly is. Aside from the required gore factor, expect a lot of ironic speeches in these movies. Do you agree with our list? What’s your favorite torture porn flick?
