In an interview with W Magazine in early 2018, Chalamet talked a lot about his upbringing and high school years, including revealing the name of his first pet, who was still his pet at the time. He was (and we hope he still is) the proud owner of a turtle named Urdle. Not the most original name, but we’ll allow it. When you think about it, it actually makes a ton of sense that Chalamet’s first pet would have been something so small. When you’re growing up in Hell’s Kitchen in NYC, you probably don’t have a lot of room for a larger animal.

Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes Leon, spent some time at LaGuardia, and says that Timothée Chalamet was her first boyfriend. The pair apparently began dating around 2013 when they were in high school. Even post-break-up, Leon says she has nothing but respect for the actor.

In 2018, Chalamet completed work on a movie called “A Rainy Day in New York” from director Woody Allen. The end of the film corresponded with the #MeToo movement, during which Dylan Farrow, the adopted daughter of Allen, accused the director (again) of sexually abusing her when she was a child. Because of the allegations, the movie’s release was delayed. For his part, Chalamet, along with many of his co-stars, donated their salaries to RAINN and other organizations.
