Sam has a one-liner or butter sock for every occasion. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 Times Sam Puckett was the Best Character on iCarly. For this list, we’ll be looking at those times when Sam owned Nickelodeon’s “iCarly.”

#10: Sam Saves Carly from Falling Off the Window Washing Platform "iQuit iCarly"

While the best of friends, Sam and Carly have very different personalities and spend so much time together that disagreements are inevitable. In "iQuit iCarly," Carly and Sam get into a fight and cancel the show; long story short, the two wind up on an unstable scaffold that leaves Carly hanging on for dear life. Despite everything that happened between them, Sam does not hesitate to save Carly, risking her own life in the process. Even if not always the most approachable or warm person, Sam has a big heart and the nerves of steel to make the most of it.

#9: Sam’s Sweatshop "iSell Penny-Tees"

Also in:

Top 10 Times Penny Was the Smartest Character on The Big Bang Theory

When Sam sets her mind on something, there is very little that the teenager is not willing to do, and starting a sweatshop is not an exception. Realizing that Penny-Tees are popular with their fans, the iCarly crew tries to make some extra cash by selling the shirts. Being a business-minded person, Sam quickly sets up a production factory of underpaid fourth-graders; as bad as that may sound, to her credit, Sam does also feed the workers... Along with setting up a sweatshop, Sam also spanks Freddie in this episode, because why not?

#8: Sam Causes Unrest Among iCarly Fans "iStart a Fan War"

In one of the show's more meta episodes, the "iCarly" gang hold a panel at a convention filled with fans yearning to know whether Freddie is dating Sam or Carly. The entire panel is consumed by this conflict, and Sam deserves most of the credit for essentially sparking a fan war. Now, to be fair, Sam probably did not intend for her joke to cause such chaos, although it wouldn't be totally out of character if it were premeditated. Sam is a wild card and that is what makes her so lovable.

#7: Sam's Impromptu Environmentally Friendly Science Project "iGo Nuclear"

Also in:

Top 10 Times Leonard was the Best Big Bang Theory Character

As the adage goes; work smarter, not harder. In this case, Sam's brain is functioning at such a high level that it almost seems like no work has been done at all. While Carly and Freddie's high-effort green science projects fail to impress Mr. Henning, Sam somehow gets an "A" by sticking a finger into an orange and eating a snack. While the project could be described as lazy, silly, and deserving of a "Root and Berry Retreat," it also highlights the teenager's confidence, because Sam sells her presentation like nobody's business.

#6: Sam Loves Fried Chicken "iStill Psycho"

Top 10 Times SNL Hosts Broke Character

If there is one thing that can be relied upon, it is Sam's endless appetite. Known for eating entire hams and carrying ribs in her purse, Sam can appreciate a hearty meal pretty much anywhere, even while being held hostage by an insane fan and her equally deranged parents. Even in a storyline that is somewhat tenser than a typical "iCarly" episode, Sam still holds onto her instincts and refuses to bend to the will of someone like Nora. The iCarly crew might be stuck in a sticky situation, but that ain't going to stop Sam from having a nice nap and craving some fried chicken.

#5: Sam Challenges Robbie & Rex to a Freestyle Rap Battle "iParty with Victorious"

Sam never backs down from a challenge, even when that involves taking down a rapping puppet. In "iCarly's" season four crossover with "Victorious," Sam takes an opportunity to show off her mad rapping skills in a battle against Robbie and Rex, although describing this one-sided demolition as a "battle" is being rather kind. While not shown often, Sam does have a creative side, be it as a singer or an artist. In many ways, this rap battle highlights many of Sam's best traits; mainly, her sarcasm, brazen attitude, and creativity.

#4: Sam Beats Up Jocelyn for Pushing Carly "iMake Sam Girlier"

It’s no secret that Sam is somewhat of a tomboy, especially compared to Carly. Even though this take-no-prisoners personality is one of the reasons the character is so awesome, that does not mean Sam hasn't occasionally tried to soften her image. In an attempt to score a date with Pete, Sam takes some lessons on how to act more girly, a plan that mostly works until a couple of bullies shove Carly and unwittingly unleash the beast. Sam is multidimensional, and one of those dimensions involves ripping Jocelyn's head off.

#3: Sam Introduces Her Butter Sock "iTake on Dingo"

Also in:

Top 10 Times Eric Was the Best Character on Boy Meets World

It should go without saying, but Sam is not the type to cower in fear when threatened or challenged. The teenager is always prepared for a fight; in fact, Sam even carries around a special weapon just in case a throwdown abruptly breaks out. When a show called "Totally Teri" begins stealing "iCarly's" content, the gang uses a frozen head and Sam's butter sock to teach the show's writers a lesson. "iCarly" brought back the butter sock multiple times throughout its run, but few moments matched up to the first time Sam unleashed a world of dairy-themed pain.

#2: Sam Dances "iWas a Pageant Girl"

Also in:

Top 10 Times Nick Was the Best Character on New Girl

When not dispensing justice with a butter sock or thinking about food, Sam occasionally defies expectations by proving that her skills are truly far-reaching. During the talent portion of a beauty pageant, Sam unleashes an impressive dance routine that feels right out of a Broadway stage show. Not only does the tightly choreographed sketch showcase Sam's impeccable tap dancing skills and determination, but Jennette McCurdy also handled the entire routine herself, a factor that only enhances the moment's awesomeness. While not the only time Sam dances, this scene is just at a whole other level. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. Spencer vs. Sam Play Paintball "iSaved Your Life" “That's How We Do It in Seattle.'” "iGo to Japan" Sam Gets Senior Citizens to Massage Her in Exchange for Cool Air During a Heat Wave "iBeat the Heat" Her Love for Fat Cakes "iToe Fat Cakes"

#1: Sam & Freddie Each Have Their First Ever Kisses Together "iKiss"

This is the moment that Seddie was born. Up until this point, Sam and Freddie had enjoyed a love / hate relationship, but things were taken a step too far when Sam revealed during a live stream that Freddie never kissed a girl. After showcasing the teenager at her worst, the Season 2 episode brings out the character's softer side, as a remorseful Sam tries to make amends. This all culminates in the two friends sharing their first proper kiss, a scene that added depth to Sam's character and marked a significant turning point in "iCarly."
