Top 10 Things You Missed In Obi-Wan Kenobi Episode 5
#5: Padawan Anakin
Let’s get the most obvious one out of the way first; Ani is back and he is rocking the Padawan braid. In a series of flashbacks, we cut to Anakin and Obi-Wan training on Coruscant. Given both of their hair styles, which includes Obi-Wan’s magnificent mullet, it’s clear that this takes place during some time around Attack of the Clones, or perhaps the early days of the Clone Wars. Back when things were smiles and neither of them had to worry about the high ground!
#4: “Anger Leads to Hate…”
The practice fight during said flashbacks are definitely one of the episode’s highpoints, with both master and apprentice demonstrating their skills with a lightsaber. Anakin’s overwhelming strength is on full display, to the extent he was able to disarm Obi-Wan with savagery alone. Specifically, we see him bring his weapons down in a fashion that mirrors what Luke did to Vader in Return of the Jedi. Anger does indeed bring power, but it’s also a pathway to the Dark Side. Even this early on in his Jedi career, it’s evident that seeds of Vader were already inside of Anakin.
#3: Reva’s Fate
Call this speculation but given where this episode leaves off following Reva’s defeat at the hands of Darth Vader, we say the framework for her ultimate demise has already been set up. Now aware of the existence of Luke, it’s obvious that Reva is once again going to be heading to Tatooine to mess up somebody’s day. And if her target is Luke, then she’s going to run into Owen. Given how she’s got a lightsaber shaped hole through the gut, it’s likely even a moisture farmer would be able to take her down with a few well-placed shots. It would make for some great payoff given how she threatened his family during their first encounter. Owen may be a farmer, but we all know how he handles vermin.
#2: Thermal Detonator
Escaping the Empire didn’t come without its fair share of sacrifices, first and foremost being Tala. After being wounded by blaster fire, she chooses to take as many Stromtroopers with her as possible via a thermal detonator. The last time we saw this was in Return of the Jedi, where Leia threatened Jabba with an explosive end if he didn’t give into her demands. Given how Jabba talked her out of it, we didn’t get to see just how potent the explosion could be. Now we know, and it is a doozy! Might be something for Mando to stock up on.

Top 10 Things You Missed In Obi-Wan Kenobi Episodes 1 and 2
Needless to say, boss Vader moments are at an all time high in this episode, from the way he casually ripped down a starship with the Force alone, all the way to his exquisite fight with the likes of Reva. Speaking of which, did you notice that he doesn’t use his own lightsaber during the entire scuffle? That’s right. Vader sees Reva as someone beneath him that he chooses to use the Force itself as a means of close combat, or just straight up steal her own lightsaber and re-enact Order 66 with it. Brutal and brilliant.
