#10: “The Woman in Me (Needs the Man in You)” (1995)

Over the years, Shania Twain has shown off her flare for romance, and the music video for “The Woman in Me (Needs the Man in You)” was no exception. Like something straight out of a Harlequin fantasy, we see Shania wandering ancient streets and ruins, men on horseback, and a sail down the Nile, all to the softest, desert-inspire mood lighting. Filmed in two different locations in Egypt, the slow and captivating video took home Country Weekly's 1996 Golden Pick Award for Favorite Video of the Year.

#9: "From This Moment On" (1998)

Another romantic video drawing visual cues from other cultures, we see Shaina sporting – initially – a shawl reminiscent of a traditional head scarf, and a bindi. As she sings of her undying love, she tries many doors as she walks slowly down a long white corridor. After finding many locked, she at arrives at an open door – an apparent metaphor for discovering true love at last. As she descends the fanning staircase, flanked by an orchestra, she finally arrives center stage, radiant and full of joy. The song has become a wedding staple, and we wouldn’t be surprised if the video also inspired a bride or two out there.

#8: "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" (1995)

The video to the third track of and first single from Shania’s second studio album pulls in all the modern country staples you can cram into four and a half minutes – with more big hair, guitars, cowboys, and cheatin' lovers than you can shake a stick at. As a glamorous Shania sashays around a restaurant in a slinky red dress amid the oblivious males, a fresh-faced Miss Twain strums her guitar back on the farm. This early video nicely characterizes the dual personalities of the rising star, those of the ardent romantic, and the hometown proud country girl.

#7: "You're Still the One" (1998)

Filmed in Malibu and Los Angeles, in this very sensual video we get up close and personal with Shania. Wandering down a midnight beach, she reflects on all she and her lover – who waits for her back at the beach house – have accomplished in their relationship, as the waves of the ocean come crashing in. As she returns, the bathing hunk begins to see her everywhere too. The video closes to give them a little privacy! Very popular upon release, the award-winning video had cross-over appeal and was played on multiple non-country music video stations, a first for Miss Twain!

#6: "Up!" (2003)

10 Music Videos That DESTROYED An Artist's Careers

Released five years after her 1997 album Come On Over, “Up!” – the song – came in two distinct flavors: pop or country. “Up!” the video? Well that was just straight up Shania. Debuting a new, funky look, she literally keeps climbing up and unpacking her personal baggage, decorating the fresh new place she has found herself with mementoes of the best of her past. That accomplished, she turns the world on its head, keeping her memories in full view while giving herself yet another new space to start from. The video marked the beginning of a new direction, and was especially popular in Canada where it earned the 2003 MuchMoreMusic Video of the Year Award.

#5: "I'm Gonna Getcha Good!" (2002)

About as far from the country roots as you can get, this is Shania at her most sci-fi and her most confident. While there have been many country artists who have crossed over into pop sounds, they all owe a debt to the original modern pop-country star. Set in a Tron-like future, one Shania races on a high-speed motorcycle, pursued by a killer robot while another Shania sings and dances behind glass as less threatening robots walk past. Tron-Shania manages to outsmart the killer robot, and using its broken eye smashes the glass and frees her other self. To be honest, we’re not totally sure what is happening here, but it’s really fun to watch!

#4: "Forever and for Always" (2003)

Not the star of the show this time around, Shania instead strolls down a beautiful, quiet beach as the story of two young love birds unfolds. Showing the time they have spent together while at the seashore, the audience watches as young friendship builds to love, which builds to a lasting relationship. “Forever and for Always” was directed by longtime Shania collaborator Paul Boyd, so you know you’re getting her at her best. However, it is the touching romance, destined to last forever and always, that steals our hearts away.

#3: "Any Man of Mine" (1995)

The Most Shameless Product Placements in Music Videos

Country through and through, it’s a fiddle reelin,’ boot stompin,’ cattle rustlin’ good time! Her first number one country radio hit, it was the first time the world got a good look at the little lady from Timmins, Ontario – and her famous midriff! Sporting a denim vest and jeans set, she goes about work on the ranch while laying down the law about what she expects of her man. She might be a farm girl, but she’s also a lady. If she can balance feminine wiles and hard work, potential suitors better be up for the challenge, because she’s got it all going on! Winning awards across the globe, this is the video that launched Shania’s career.

#2: "That Don't Impress Me Much" (1998) The song and video that let the world know that Shania Twain is a lady of high standards. Traveling across the desert in a tight leopard-print outfit, several men stop along the way to address her hitchhiking call. However, when she doesn’t find them quite up to the task, it’s them that have to take a hike. Sexy and self-assured, one after another she shoots down offers, finally opting to walk herself out of the desert … or at least wait for something worthy of her time. Nearly ten years after it was release, the video was ranked country’s sexiest music video by CMT Canada. High-standards are timeless. Before we unveil our number one pick, here are a few honorable mentions: "When You Kiss Me" (2003) "(If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!" (1995) "Life's About to Get Good" (2017)

#1: “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” (1999)

Shania’s had many fun videos over the years, but this one is unforgettable! A gender swapped homage to both Tone-Loc’s “Wild Thing” but especially Robert Palmer’s “Addicted to Love”, Shania adopts a gothic cabaret look that is both memorable and iconic, while expressionless male models swing in time behind her. While at first the song seems to lean more to pop, the more layers Shania peels away the more she hearkens back to saloon girl style – which is about as wild west country as it gets! While simple in its delivery, with a single set and minimal costume changes, the impact of this female empowerment anthem is huge.
