We know reality TV isn’t real, but these declarations of love still tug at our heartstrings. Welcome to MsMojo and today we're counting down our picks for the Top 10 Romantic Proposals on The Bachelor. For this list, we’re looking at the most memorable Bachelor nation proposals, regardless of whether the couple is still together or not.

#10: Becca Kufrin & Garrett Yrigoyen “The Bachelorette” (2003-)

On the 14th season of “The Bachelorette”, we were all rooting for Becca to find her happily ever after because we had seen her experience heartbreak on “The Bachelor”. When he proposed, Garrett told some funny tales from their whirlwind romance and then romantically told Becca how he imagined a future with her. These two seem genuinely happy before Garrett even gets down on one knee. Even though this episode aired in the summer of 2018, these two still haven’t tied the knot, and say that they don’t plan to rush into planning a wedding.

#9: Jade Roper & Tanner Tolbert “Bachelor in Paradise” (2014-)

At first, it didn’t seem like “Bachelor in Paradise” was exactly designed for helping people actually find love, but rather creating drama and intrigue. But in the show’s second season, we saw Jade and Tanner fall in love, and the final episode featured Tanner popping the question. They had only been together for three weeks but their romance still seemed real. They were married shortly after in 2016 and now have two children together, Emerson and Brooks and are the most adorable little family!

#8: Carly Waddell & Evan Bas “Bachelor in Paradise” (2014-)

On the same day that Jade and Tanner got engaged, Carly and Evan made a commitment to each other as well. Viewers were probably extremely surprised that this is how the season ended for these two, because their relationship didn’t get off to a smooth start. But you can tell from this proposal that there’s true love here even considering the short time they’ve known each other. Evan’s sincerity shines through, and it was clear these two were meant to be. Chris Harrison ultimately officiated their televised wedding and now the couple has two children together.

#7: Kaitlyn Bristowe & Shawn Booth “The Bachelorette” (2003-)

Season eleven of “The Bachelorette” started with two ladies vying for the position, with the guys getting to vote on whose affection they’d be trying to win. Thank goodness picked Kaitlyn because otherwise we wouldn’t have been able to witness this love story. In the end, it came down to these two and Kaitlyn is shaking with nerves and excitement as Shawn gets down on one knee. While we loved this couple, they didn’t last, splitting after a few years together. Just because their romance didn’t last forever, doesn’t mean it wasn’t worth having.

#6: Bryan Abasolo & Rachel Lindsay “The Bachelorette” (2003-)

Rachel Lindsay made waves as the first black woman to lead a season of “The Bachelorette”, and fans loved her so much that they were on the edge of their seats as she searched for love. She gave the first impression rose to Bryan Abasolo, who let’s just say viewers were not wild about. But throughout the entire season of the show, she made her feelings for him clear, and in the end he was of course the one she chose. He showed his true colors during his proposal however when he was vulnerable and told Rachel exactly how much she meant to him.

#5: Trista Rehn & Ryan Sutter “The Bachelorette” (2003-)

Trista was our very first “Bachelorette” in the first ever season of the spin-off series of “The Bachelor”. At the end of the season, Ryan got down on one knee and Trista seemed genuinely elated, practically unable to hide her excitement as he professed his love to her. This couple has become known as the longest running pair from Bachelor nation, considering they got married all the way back in 2003. They now have two children, and have exemplified what “The Bachelor” is supposed to be all about for many years.

#4: JoJo Fletcher & Jordan Rodgers “The Bachelorette” (2003-)

JoJo has got to be one of the most popular “Bachelorettes” in the show’s history, so the stakes were high on her search for love. Many were skeptical of Jordan on the show and questioned his motivations, but when he proposed, there wasn’t a dry eye in the room. His speech to her was eloquent and well thought out, and anyone watching could feel the passion behind his words. The two are still engaged many years after the show aired, and we’ve gotta give them respect for not rushing into anything considering they had just met and all.

#3: Ashley Hebert & J.P. Rosenbaum “The Bachelorette” (2003-)

How adorable are these two? One of the most wholesome and relatable couples in Bachelor history have to be Ashley and J.P.. When he arrived at the final rose ceremony, it was clear to the audience that he wasn’t entirely sure of his standing, and he seemed cutely nervous that he might not actually be given the final rose. But as soon as he realized what was going to happen, he seemed so excited to ask Ashley to be his wife. Nearly a decade later, and this couple is living their happily ever after with two kids.

#2: Sean Lowe & Catherine Giudici “The Bachelor” (2002-)

There’s a reason why there were more proposals from “The Bachelorette” on here than from “The Bachelor”, because those relationships seem much more likely to last. In fact, Sean Lowe was the first Bachelor to actually marry the woman he proposed to on the show- and that was in season 17! This proposal will take your breath away, just like it did to Catherine who genuinely didn’t seem like she was expecting it. She is left shaking and speechless as the two hug and profess their love for one another afterwards, and honestly we felt the same way when we saw it for the first time! Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. Brad Womack & Emily Maynard “The Bachelor” (2002-) Ben Higgins & Lauren Bushnell “The Bachelor” (2002-) Jared Haibon & Ashley Iaconetti Chris Randone & Krystal Nielson Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon “Bachelor in Paradise” (2014-)

#1: Desiree Hartsock & Chris Siegfried “The Bachelorette” (2003-)

The ninth season of “The Bachelorette” was certainly an exciting one. In fact, finalist Brooks left before the final rose ceremony, leaving Desiree confused and heartbroken. But as she tearfully explained to Chris, she should have seen what was clear all along: that the two of them were meant to be. While some people are clearly aware when there are cameras on them, these two are so sincere and vulnerable in this moment that we feel as though they were truly in the moment. We can’t help but grab for the tissues when we rewatch this one!
