Top 10 Horror Movie Bullies That Got What They Deserved

Get out your paddling stick; it’s time to pick on some wimpy nerds. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 movie bullies. For this list, we’re choosing the most memorable bullies portrayed on the big screen. We’re excluding authority figures like school principals or drill sergeants, meaning the bullies will have roughly the same age, rank and status as those being bullied.

#10: Marianne Bryant “Easy A” (2010)

Before celebrity meltdowns became all the rage, Amanda Bynes appeared alongside Emma Stone in this teen rom-com as super conservative student Marianne Bryant. Although Marianne isn’t initially a bully, just kind of religious and weird, she eventually begins to harass Olive after Marianne’s boyfriend contracts chlamydia and he blames the incident on the new “school tramp.” If history has shown us anything, it’s that you should never get on the wrong side of a religious zealot.

#9: The O’Doyle Family “Billy Madison” (1995)

Also in:

Top 10 Movie Jerks

O’Doyle rules! That’s the war chant of this whole family of movie bullies. Intent on making life tough for Adam Sandler’s Billy Madison as he navigates his way through all levels of education, the O’Doyles aren’t super creative when it comes to bullying, but they get the job done by the end of the day. Unfortunately for them, but fortunately for Billy, the O’Doyle clan is taken out by the oldest trick in the book.

#8: Chet Donnelly “Weird Science” (1985)

It’s game over, man, when this cigar-smoking, shotgun-wielding bully rolls into town. Chet is protagonist Wyatt’s older brother and he uses this to his advantage by extorting cash out of his little bro. But after Wyatt accidentally creates the perfect woman, Chet changes his tune. When the smoke clears, Chet learns a valuable lesson about being an older sibling and not messing with science he doesn’t understand.

#7: ‘Ace’ Merrill “Stand by Me” (1986)

They don’t come much meaner than Ace in the world of big screen bullies. In this coming of age film, his main motivation is to claim the discovery of a dead body before the protagonists of “Stand by Me.” He’s such a badass that he eventually pulls a knife on a bunch of little kids. But, as the old saying goes, you don’t bring a knife to a gunfight - and Ace’s quickly sent packing with his tail between his legs after Gordie shows off his firepower.

#6: Fred O’Bannion “Dazed and Confused” (1993)

Top 10 Fred Astaire & Ginger Rogers Dance Scenes

Before he was donning the Bat-suit to fight criminals, Ben Affleck was terrorizing little kids in high school. Using the latest in nerd-whooping technology, Affleck’s Fred O’Bannion wielded a cricket bat to dish out spankings to the local geeks with great effect in this early ‘90s comedy. Having recently failed his final year of high school, Fred goes into an all-out nerd whacking frenzy, which leads him into even more interesting ways to terrorize kids.

#5: Scut Farkus “A Christmas Story” (1983)

Farkus has that kind of face you’d expect most bullies to have; so you just know he’s up to no good. He’s a great example of what most good old-fashioned bullies are like: he picks on kids who are smaller than him, he’s surrounded by the brawniest sidekicks he can find and he uses his power only for evil. One of his quirks is making other kids say ‘uncle’ and though he particularly likes to torment Ralphie, like most bullies, Scut eventually gets his due.

#4: Draco Malfoy “Harry Potter” franchise (2001-11)

Draco is your typical snot-nosed rich kid with entitlement issues, and a penchant for dark magic. He comes from a long line of pureblood baddies who aren’t afraid to lean over to the dark side to get their way – even if that means doing the dark Lord Voldemort’s bidding. Like most bullies though, Malfoy and his family are all talk and when the real stuff goes down, they’re some of the first to abandon ship.

#3: John ‘Johnny’ Lawrence “The Karate Kid” (1984)

Also in:

Top 10 John Wick Killstreaks

The ‘80s were a great time for bullies: leather jackets, crazy hairstyles and the occasional murder attempt via dirt bike. What sets Johnny apart from most bullies though is his mastery of a brutal form of karate called “Cobra Kai”. While most people use the martial art for self-defense, Johnny’s teacher just happens to be an insane Vietnam vet who trains his students to do whatever it takes to win. If that means sweeping the leg, then so be it.

#2: Regina George “Mean Girls” (2004)

Also in:

Top 10 Most Iconic Regina George Quotes

This queen bee is at the top of the high school popularity pyramid and uses her powers as any attention-hungry teenager would. Regina and her clique however are special in that they compile all the rumors, secrets and gossip about their classmates in one big burn book. While the book is offensive enough on its own, she ends up using it as a nuclear bomb of sorts that creates mass hysteria while destroying her competition in the process. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions: - Mick McAllister “Teen Wolf” (1985) - Francis Buxton “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” (1985) - Deebo “Friday” (1995) - Roscoe ‘Fang’ Bigger “Big Bully” (1996) - Troy Perkins “The Goonies” (1985)

#1: Biff Tannen & the Tannen Family “Back to the Future” franchise (1985-90)

Of all the bullies on our list, only one can torment his victims from across vast temporal distances. It’s in Biff’s very genes to bully the McFly family, from Mad Dog Tannen to the half-robotic Griff Tannen, and there doesn’t seem to be much else that this family lives for. Luckily, Marty is there to set things right, from a near-miss with his mother in the ‘50s to the near-murder of his father in the future, meaning the Tannens will always end up in deep shit. Do you agree with our list? Who’s your favorite movie bully? For more gnarly Top 10s published daily, be sure to subscribe to WatchMojo.com.
