With her classic and understated style, the Duchess of Cambridge is already Britain’s queen of fashion. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 Kate Middleton style moments.

For this list, we’ve chosen those looks that we thought made the biggest impact.

#10: White Lace Gown by Self-Portrait
“A Street Cat Named Bob” Premiere (2016)

Kate appeared at the London premiere of this family film to support Action on Addiction, one of the many charities she patronizes. The future queen looked stunning as always, in a white lace and crepe gown by Self-Portrait. The A-line dress was boasted a scalloped mock neckline, with a pleated skirt that flowed thanks to a thigh-high slit. As it was early November, Kate completed the look with a bright red poppy pin – which is worn in Commonwealth nations in honor of Remembrance Day.

#9: Skinny Jeans, Striped Shirt & Blazer
SportsAid Athlete Workshop (2013)

Individually, these pieces are pretty basic, but as an ensemble it’s a classic combo. For her appearance at a SportsAid Athlete Workshop, Kate recyled a look she’d worn to the London Olympics, pairing dark blue skinny jeans with a matching navy blazer. And her cork Stuart Weitzman wedges balance the whole thing perfectly; they’re not too dressy, but not as laidback as a flat. Kate’s pretty active, but just because you might have to play a little volleyball doesn’t mean you need to sacrifice style.

#8: Red Power Suit by Armani
Opening of The Global Academy (2017)

Alongside Princes William and Harry, Kate was all business in a red Armani power suit while attending the official opening of this universal technical college. And the ensemble fit her perfectly, with its dramatic darting and zipper front closure detail. Accessorized with her signature beige Rupert Sanderson pumps and a coordinating clutch by Etui Bags, the look was both striking and professional. Plus, the bright, primary color and modest use of jewelry were enough to catch the eye without distracting from the scholarly event.

#7: Pale Pink Maternity Outfit by Alexander McQueen
Trooping the Colour (2013)

No one does maternity wear like Kate Middleton! Stepping out for Trooping the Colour – which is unofficially known as the Queen’s birthday parade – Princess Kate donned a soft pink coat with ornate pearl buttons, created by one of her favorite designers: Alexander McQueen. And Kate’s outfit – complete with jaunty hat! – added some color to an already colorful day. At eight months pregnant, it was her last public appearance before the birth of Prince George, and she made sure it was a memorable style moment.

#6: Blue Dress by Jenny Packham
Royal Tour of Canada (2016)

The whole family wore blue for their 2016 visit to Canada! When the Royals de-planed in British Columbia, Kate wore a cobalt blue, bespoke Jenny Packham dress with gathered shoulders, fluted sleeves and a collar that dropped into a V-shape in back. Appropriately, she also wore maple leaf accessories – the most obvious being a platinum and diamond brooch, on loan from the Queen. But look closely at her hat and you’ll notice it’s bursting with Canadian pride too. All in all, a subtle, stylish way to honor their host country.

#5: Green Lace Dress by Temperley London
Portrait Gala (2017)

As patron of the National Portrait Gallery, the Duchess of Cambridge was in attendance at their annual gala event in 2017, and her emerald green dress was a piece of art in itself. Designed by Temperley London, this floor-length gown with lace overlay was accentuated at the waist by a monochromatic bow belt. In fact, lace seems to be a favorite of Kate’s, leading to a resurgence in its popularity. With her hair down in a cascade of bouncy curls, you almost miss the Kiki McDonough earrings.

#4: Sparkly Rose Gown by Jenny Packham
Ark Gala Dinner (2011) & EACH Nook Appeal Gala Dinner (2016)
Some things are so nice you wear them twice! While that’s true for most of us, it’s nice to see that the Duchess of Cambridge recycles outfits too. With its sequins and Swarovski crystals, this blush-color Jenny Packham number first wowed us when Kate wore it to the Absolute Return for Kids tenth anniversary gala in June 2011. it was nice to see it again – with slightly different styling – at the 2016 East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices’ Nook Appeal Dinner, five years and two kids later.

#3: Red Gown by Jenny Packham
State Banquet for the Chinese President (2015)

Four years after becoming the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton attended her first State Dinner at Buckingham Palace. The event, which hosted the President of China and his wife, looked gorgeous – and naturally, so did Kate. To honor her guests, she wore the Lotus Flower tiara, as the lotus traditionally symbolizes harmony and love in Chinese culture. She donned a gorgeous bespoke Jenny Packham gown, which also paid homage to China with its rich red color. Overall, it was a perfectly regal ensemble.

#2: Blue Wrap Dress by Issa London
Engagement Announcement (2010)

When Wills and Kate finally broke the news of their engagement, the bride-to-be wore a silk-jersey wrap dress that hit all the right notes. Most people would recognize this dress: designed by Daniella Helayel of Issa London, the dress was simple and sophisticated; the silk shimmered, the cut fit flawlessly and the neckline drew attention to her fresh face. And the color? A royal sapphire blue coordinated perfectly with her diamond and sapphire engagement ring, which once belonged to William’s mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.

#1: The Wedding Gown by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen
The Royal Wedding (2011)

Top 10 Things Guests Should Never Do at a Wedding

For her marriage to His Royal Highness, Prince William of Wales, the bride selected designer Sarah Burton, creative director of Alexander McQueen, to design her now-iconic gown, as well as her also-gorgeous post-wedding dress. Taking inspiration from women like Grace Kelly and even Queen Elizabeth II herself, Burton and Middleton wished to achieve a traditional look with a fresh and modern feel. And the final product, a simple lace gown and its modest train, ensured Kate looked like a true princess on her way down the aisle at Westminster Abbey.
