Top 10 Hilarious Workout Scenes in Movies

An equal dose of excitement and humor is just what the doctor ordered. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 hilarious chase scenes in movies. For this list, we’re taking a look at the funniest chases in cinematic history. Whether the chase takes place on foot or in a vehicle doesn’t matter as long as the set-up is ridiculous, and of course, hilarious.

#10: Screaming with Laughter “Scary Movie” (2000)

The opening to this horror spoof is almost as sexy as it is hilarious. As Ghostface chases Carmen Electra, she disregards useful more weapons and picks up a banana. Just before her clothes get ripped off, she ignores a sign leading to safety and follows one pointing towards death. Now only in her underwear, she seductively runs through sprinklers, but is soon caught by the masked villain. She’s actually kinda lucky, since his first stab only takes out her breast implant. But Electra’s subsequent escape is hindered by her father’s car. Her killer then gets the silicone off his blade and finally finishes the job.

#9: Most of the Movie “The Chase” (1994)

As you might expect from a film with a title like this, there’s quite a lot of chasing going on here. We’re not sure what’s more ironic: that “TheChase” came out the same year as “Speed” or that it came only a few months before OJ Simpson’s notorious high-speed escape. In any case, the laughs come a mile a minute, as do the cameos. The film features uproarious walk-on roles from the likes of the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Ron Jeremy, with an absurd lead performance from none other than Charlie Sheen.

#8: Elusive Animals “Madagascar 3: Europe’s Most Wanted” (2012)

Throughout the “Madagascar” series, our animal heroes face increasingly crazy scenarios. This scene is up there with the most insane of them all. The penguins have developed a super van to escape from Dubois and her animal control cronies. They release a slew of rotten fish and have a seemingly nuclear boost to get away from the crazy French captain. This scene is every bit as silly as one would expect, but the chemistry between our wild cast of characters is what makes it especially priceless for kids and adults alike.

#7: The Killer Train “Wrongfully Accused” (1998)

Any film starring Leslie Nielsen is going to have its fair share of silly humor, and this scene is definitely the highlight of “Wrongfully Accused.” Heavily parodying “The Fugitive,” a prison bus taking Nielsen to incarceration crashes and is perched precariously on a train line as he and other prisoners hop out the window. An oncoming train smashes through the bus and begins hunting down Nielsen through the woods, even poking its “head” out from behind a tree as a mock jump scare.

#6: Saul’s Leg Hole Pineapple Express” (2008)

Seth Rogen and James Franco have mastered the stoner comedy and this scene encapsulates the essence of the genre. Dale has been arrested for dealing marijuana and his bestie Saul decides to stage an elaborate breakout from the back of a police car that involves throwing himself in front of the car. Some red liquid has covered the windscreen so Saul now has to kick it out. Of course, his leg gets stuck and the useless pair is left racing away from a pursuing police officer with a foot poking out the front of the car.

#5: This Chase Makes No Sense “The Emperor’s New Groove” (2000)

This scene from “The Emperor’s New Groove” humorously acknowledges the flawed logic that is present in many movie chases. Although Kuzco and Pacha are clearly in the lead, somehow Yzma and her muscular manservant manage to catch up to the pacesetters. Kronk even gets out a map to show how it really makes no sense whatsoever. It’s an intelligent bit of comedy full of inspired visual gags, fourth wall breaks, and perfect timing. We would expect nothing less from this topnotch Disney animated comedy.

#4: Chasing on Ice “Blades of Glory” (2007)

Carnage is brought to the streets and frozen rivers of Montreal in this ice skating comedy. After escaping his kidnappers Stranz and Fairchild Van Waldenberg, Chazz Michael Michaels uses a few of his best moves to evade his pursuer. The chaos occasionally slows down when the two are forced to run around with skates still on, but it soon ramps up again: a crossbow comes out to stop Chazz, but a misplaced bolt ends up hitting Snowflake, the unfortunate mascot for the Winter Games.

#3: College Campus Chase 22 Jump Street” (2014)

The “Jump Street” movies are never shy to include a chase or two: the first has a car chase with less explosions than you’d expect, and the second opens up with an octopus-filled escape after an undercover mission goes wrong. It’s this chase through the campus that gets the spot on this list, however. It begins in the library and causes all sorts of damage throughout the university grounds. This all happens in a novelty golf cart that is decked out like a football helmet, making this well-choreographed chase look utterly silly.

#2: Driving Instructor “The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad!” (1988)

Go for it, Stephanie! This is easily the most exhilarating driving lesson a student driver has ever had as Frank Drebin commandeers her car tochase down a suspect. After a stuttering start, she grows into her role, even extending her middle finger to an aggressive truck driver. Straight after this, she really becomes confident and gets her foot down to force the suspect to drive into a gas tanker, a missile, and eventually a fireworks factory. If only all driving lessons could be this much fun. Before we reveal our top pick let’s take a look at some honorable mentions. The Mission from God “The Blues Brothers” (1980) Big Bear Chase “The Great Outdoors” (1988) More Doors Please “Monsters, Inc.” (2001) Over the Fence “Hot Fuzz” (2007) Chow Chase “The Hangover Part II” (2011)

#1: Naked Wrestling “Borat” (2006)

This mockumentary from Sacha Baron Cohen was more than happy to push the limits of comedy and this scene may very well be the height of that. The fight begins as Azamat is caught masturbating to images of Borat’s new love, Pamela Anderson, and spreads to various parts of the hotel. Sensitive sections of the anatomy are thrust in faces before Borat eventually catches his larger friend with his recently acquired rubber fist. It’s cringe-worthy, yet hilarious, and no one would want to be stuck in that elevator. Do you agree with our list? Which chase scene always has your sides bursting?
