We need these female villain costumes in cartoons for Halloween! For this list, we're looking at the best dressed female villains from our favorite cartoons. Our countdown includes “Castlevania,” “Batman: The Animated Series,” “Avatar: The Last Airbender,” and more!
Sure they’re evil, but they look real good doing it! Welcome to MsMojo, and today, we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Female Villain Costumes in Cartoons. For this list, we’re looking at the best dressed female villains from our favorite cartoons.

#10: Ice Queen “Adventure Time” (2010-18)

Top 10 Female Characters Voiced by Men

Oh my! Just look at how gorgeous that dress is! If only it were worn by someone a little less ruthless. Ice Queen clearly has a sense of fashion, and though her zigzag eyebrows might not appeal to everyone, she gets points for being bold. From the elegant and simplistic design of her dress to her long and flowing hair, this feminine version of the Ice King certainly does a better job at taking care of herself than her male counterpart. Of course, appearances are easier to keep up when you exist in someone’s imagination! Regardless, that shiny golden neckband really brings the whole outfit together. Any idea where we can get one outside the Ice King’s fanfiction?

#9: Morgana Macawber “Darkwing Duck” (1991-92)

If you’re a fan of the old-school, tattered aesthetic common in horror films and gothic cartoons like “The Addams Family”, then you’re sure to appreciate Morgana Macawber. Or her fashion sense at the very least! This sorceress’ look is very fitting for someone who has an affinity for bats, spiders, and - er, mushroom farms. The pompadour feels a bit dated, sure, but Morgana manages to own it, and those streaks in her hair help to further emphasize her sinister side. Taken all together, this is the sort of look that’ll make you cross to the other side of the street - only to marvel at it from a safe distance.

#8: Karai “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (2012-17)

Like the Turtles, Karai has gone through several redesigns over the years. Of these various iterations, however, our favorite has to be from Nickelodeon’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”, which cranks her badass factor to the maximum. While prior shows have given her an outfit that screams deadly assassin, they were either too chunky or looked like something out of “Mortal Kombat”. This version, on the other hand, makes a lot more sense, being made up of light armor and smooth cloth. Though she’s not a straight-up villain throughout the series, her costume certainly conveys to anyone who crosses her path that Karai is not just a warrior, but also a quick one. And if the outfit doesn’t terrify you, her serpent transformation will!

#7: Dark Phoenix “X-Men: The Animated Series” (1992-97)

Okay, we know we’re playing with fire here given that Jean Grey is a hero, but we’re focusing on her appearance as Dark Phoenix. which was as stylish as it was tragic. Seriously, how can you ignore a magnificent mane like that? After coming under the control of a cosmic entity, Jean becomes one of the best dressed ladies of Marvel, sporting a dark red suit with yellow gloves and boots. It's a design that nicely reflects Dark Phoenix’s dangerous nature, and is the sort of outfit that’s sure to burn itself into your memory should you ever have the misfortune to see it in person.

#6: Carmilla “Castlevania” (2017-)

If Death were to take the form of a woman, the end result would probably bear a striking resemblance to this femme fatale. Carmilla’s garb is that, even if her trademark hair and pale skin were concealed, you could instantly pick her out of a crowd. Unfortunately, the moment you catch sight of that blood red and purple dress, chances are that your life is about to end! Basically, the entire outfit tells us how wicked this lady really is, and that’s even before you catch a glimpse of her long and sharp fingernails! Good thing vampires don’t really exist, right? ...RIGHT!?

#5: Hexadecimal “ReBoot” (1994-2001)

“ReBoot’s” visuals haven’t aged all that well, but that arguably works for a villain such as Hexadecimal. For starters, the Queen of Chaos has a mask-like face that could be the epitome of the uncanny valley concept. Seriously, this was the face that haunted our dreams when we were kids! It didn’t help that her costume has this weird, Satanic-like design or that her face can go from unsettling to disturbing in a flash. Scary though her aesthetic might be… it is freaking iconic! If this is truly what computer viruses look like, we’re more than happy to stay outside of our virtual worlds.

#4: Charmcaster “Ben 10” (2016-)

None of the other villains on this list have undergone a makeover quite as dramatic as Charmcaster. Before her transformation, Heather was just your quintessential nerdy girl with a forgettable sense of style. As Charmcaster, she’s rocking the look of a sophisticated goth girl, and she is slaying it!! From the spiked headband and black boots to the magenta skirt and purple coat, this is not a girl you would want to mess with! She certainly looks like someone who’s capable of dishing out some damage, and armed with her powerful spell book, she can.

#3: Harley Quinn “Batman: The Animated Series” (1992-95)

Top 10 Things You Missed in Harley Quinn Season 3

Harley has certainly earned her spot on the podium. Since making her debut in “Batman: The Animated Series”, the Maiden of Mischief has slowly but surely established herself as an iconic villain in her own right. Today, her classic red and black jester look is instantly recognizable; you’re sure to encounter dozens of them at any given comic con. We’d be remiss not to point out that, across various media, she’s actually rocked a variety of looks and has consistently made them shine. But, despite her sizable closet, it always comes back to the jester. While we’re talking about Batman villains, we’d also like to give a nod to Poison Ivy. Who else can make plants look this good?

#2: Azula “Avatar: The Last Airbender” (2005-08)

Also in:

Top 10 Best Azula Moments on Avatar: The Last Airbender

When you’re the child prodigy of the Fire Nation, a badass wardrobe is something of a requirement. Whether she’s wearing her traditional black and gold armor or dark red dress, Azula always manages to somehow simultaneously look stunning and like she is ready for a fight! Both styles are especially fitting for someone so power-hungry and intimidating, and like with Carmilla, they have a certain elegance in terms of their design. Of course, from a practical standpoint, maybe throwing fire around fabrics isn't such a hot idea. Azula is one hell of a firebender, but we'd hate to see those iconic outfits burst into flames! Because… she bends fire! Okay, we’ll stop... Before we reveal our most fashionable top pick, here are a few stylish Honorable Mentions… Demona “Gargoyles” (1994-97) Star Sapphire “Justice League” (2001-04) Lord Dominator “Wander Over Yonder” (2013-16) Blackfire “Teen Titans” (2003-06) Amora the Enchantress “The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” (2010-13)

#1: Shego “Kim Possible” (2002-07)

Of all the villains to have graced the Disney Channel, Shego is the one with the most flair! Given that she only rocks two colors - green and black- we understand if this might seem like an odd choice for our top pick. However, just like Harley Quinn, here the two-toned approach helps to make Shego’s look an iconic one . Her outfit’s pattern makes her seem more intimidating, and it matches perfectly with wicked power: it’s dangerous and edgy! That being said, Shego has been known to don a variant outfit on occasion, taking her look in a more sexy or classy direction. Needless to say, this villainess dresses to impress!
