#10: Kate & Pippa Middleton

Presenting probably the most famous duchess in the world… and her famous maid of honor! On April 29, 2011, millions watched as Kate Middleton and Prince William finally married. But while it was their big day, Pippa’s form-fitting gown also made headlines, making her an instant household name. Kate and Pippa often appear in the tabloids for their style and personal lives, but there’s more to them than meets the eye. Both sisters are college educated and heavily involved in charity work, while Pippa is also an author and seasoned columnist. These young ladies may be part of the royal family, but that’s just one facet of their cultural influence.

#9: HAIM

Sister acts in music are nothing new, but HAIM are in a league of their own. Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim come from a musical family, and formed the pop rock band in 2007. In 2013, HAIM shot to fame with their debut album, “Days Are Gone,” with their energetic performances and live covers winning them thousands of fans. They’ve since collaborated with musicians like Childish Gambino, Bastille, and Calvin Harris, to name a few, and even opened for friend Taylor Swift during her 1989 World Tour. With a Best New Artist nod at the 57th Grammys and an upcoming sophomore album, this talented trio is just getting started.

#8: Gigi & Bella Hadid

We first saw these sisters on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” along with model mom Yolanda Hadid, and like mother, like daughters. Gigi and Bella made their New York Fashion Week debuts in 2014, and have been in high demand ever since. Among other labels, they’ve modeled for Desigual, Tommy Hilfiger, Chanel, and Marc Jacobs. Gigi strutted her stuff in the 2015 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, while GQ named Bella Model of the Year in 2016. But looking good isn’t the sisters’ only talent. Both sisters are accomplished equestrians, and Bella would also like to pursue acting or fashion photography. These two prove that models are more than just pretty faces.

#7: Zooey & Emily Deschanel

One’s a folksy musician and sitcom star, while the other plays a gifted anthropologist on TV, but they’re sisters all the same. Zooey is best known for her starring role in “New Girl” and as one half of the band She & Him, while Emily stars as Dr. Temperance Brennan on “Bones.” Both are also devoted animal rights advocates; Zooey has rescue dogs, and Emily is a long-time vegan. The Deschanel sisters have been nominated for many awards over the years, and Zooey even won the Critics’ Choice Television Award for Best Actress in a Comedy Series. Performers, activists, moms, and sisters, these two are women of many hats.

#6: Rooney & Kate Mara

These two aren’t only sought-after actresses, they’re also football royalty! Their great-grandfathers founded the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Rooney is a critically acclaimed actress, and a two-time Golden Globe and Oscar nominee for her roles in “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” and “Carol.” Kate is a veteran actress too, appearing in films such as “127 Hours” and “The Martian,” but she’s perhaps best known for playing reporter Zoe Barnes in Netflix drama “House of Cards,” which earned her an Emmy nod. The sisters are also committed vegans, and heavily involved in charity work. Hollywood and gridiron darlings, the Mara sisters have long careers ahead of them.

#5: Beyoncé & Solange Knowles

Top 10 Reasons We Love Beyoncé

These sisters are stylish and talented, but also no strangers to controversy. Solange made headlines in 2014 after a video showed her assaulting brother-in-law Jay-Z in an elevator, and Beyoncé’s Lemonade album sparked cheating rumors. Still, that’s not to take away from their accomplishments. Beyoncé has had an award-winning career as part of Destiny’s Child and as a solo artist, and Solange has toured and released three studio albums – with 2016’s “A Seat at the Table” making history by topping the Billboard 200 and making them the first set of sisters to have number one albums. Along with Destiny’s Child, they also sang the theme for Disney cartoon “The Proud Family.” They’ve even been bitten by the acting bug, appearing in movies like “Austin Powers in Goldmember” and “Bring it On: All or Nothing.” But no matter where their careers take them, Beyoncé and Solange will always have each other.

#4: Dakota & Elle Fanning

They may be young, but the Fanning sisters already have a lot to be proud of. Dakota and Elle have acted since they were toddlers, and have grown up to be poised, talented performers. Dakota is the youngest ever SAG Award nominee and member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, and has won several awards for her roles in “I Am Sam,” “War of the Worlds,” and “The Secret Life of Bees.” Elle is quite accomplished herself, earning award nods for “Super 8” and “Maleficent,” and even playing younger versions of her sister. Add in their impeccable style, and you have two of the most promising siblings in Hollywood.

#3: The Kardashian-Jenner Sisters

With a hit show and constant social media presence, these sisters are arguably the most successful reality stars ever. Kourtney, Kim, and Khloé, and their half-sisters Kendall and Kylie, have all found fame in their own right, but are best known as part of their family brand. The sisters have often been criticized as famous for being famous, but to their credit, they’re marketing experts. Kendall is one of today’s most popular models, making the cover of Vogue’s September 2016 issue, and Kylie’s Lip Kit collection sold out immediately after it first launched. That’s not to mention the clothing lines, apps, and books. No matter how you feel about them, these women have built a media empire.

#2: Venus & Serena Williams

When you think of famous female tennis players, you’re probably thinking of these two. Sometimes rivals, sometimes teammates, and often singles stars, the Williams sisters are forces to be reckoned with. The Women’s Tennis Association has ranked Serena World No. 1 six times, while Venus has taken the top spot three times – and was the first African-American woman to do so. Venus and Serena have won 14 Grand Slam doubles titles together, and with four Olympic gold medals each, they have more than any other tennis player at the Games. They’ve even found success with endorsement deals, clothing lines, and part ownership of the Miami Dolphins. Trailblazers and tennis legends, the Williams sisters embody the term “dynamic duo.” Before we get to our top pick, here are some honorable mentions: Britney & Jamie Lynn Spears Rosanna, Alexis & Patricia Arquette Tegan & Sara

#1: Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen

Along with younger sister Elizabeth, these fraternal twins have taken Hollywood by storm. Best known for playing Michelle Tanner on “Full House,” Mary-Kate and Ashley co-starred in TV shows and movies well into their teens. They also ventured into book series, video games, and many more products for tweens in the early 2000s. Ashley hasn’t acted since 2004, and Mary-Kate since 2012, but they’re now known as the heads of four different fashion lines. In 2012 and 2015, the Council of Fashion Designers of America named the twins Womensewear Designers of the Year for their luxury label, The Row. The Olsen twins’ seamless transition from child stars to fashion mavens is commendable, and proves that they’re two of a kind. Do you agree with our list? Who are your favourite famous sisters?
