#10: “Stewie Kills Lois” & “Lois Kills Stewie” (Season 6, Episode 4-5)
Top 10 Best Stewie Griffin Moments on Family Guy
With celebrity cameos galore, this two-parter shows what might happen if Stewie ever gets the chance to murder Lois and take over the world. Violent, bloody and frankly unbelievable, it’s full of twisted plots, trademark pop-culture jabs, and – did we mention violence? However, it was all a dream. Simulation. Whatever. And as any good show will do, they rip on one of the least-liked TV finales ever.
#9: “Patriot Games” (Season 4, Episode 20)
Y’can’t have a football episode without Tom Brady. After meeting him at a reunion, Brady hires Peter for the Patriots. But of course Peter screws it up and gets himself traded to London’s Silly Nannies. Meanwhile, Stewie’s a bookie and when Brian can’t pay up, he beats the ever-loving crap outta him. With offensive historical references and even song-sequence, this one’s got the hallmarks of a “Family Guy” classic.
#8: “And Then There Were Fewer” (Season 9, Episode 1)
Top 20 Worst Family Guy Episodes
It’s a murder-mystery, “Family Guy”-style. When James Woods invites the people of Quahog to his eerie mansion to make amends for his misdeeds, everything goes wrong and people end up dead – and unlike other cartoons, they stay dead. Spoiler alert: news anchor-ess Diane Simmons is behind the carnage and mayhem. But what’s even more shocking is that the episode ends with Stewie saving – yes, saving – his mother’s life.
#7: “Blue Harvest” (Season 6, Episode 1)
Top 10 Best Moments on Blue Bloods
With no electricity to keep them entertained, the Griffins tell each other the greatest story ever told: “Star Wars.” With each cast member taking on a role from the iconic sci-fi franchise, as well as celebrity cameos too numerous to mention and shot-for-shot remakes of the original movie, the episode is not only enjoyable for “Star Wars” fans. Its success eventually resulted in more “Family Guy” “Star Wars” parodies.
#6: “I Dream of Jesus” (Season 7, Episode 2)
Top 10 Family Guy Episodes That Aged REALLY WELL
Otherwise known as the one with “Surfin’ Bird.” Peter’s obsession with that song, and the subsequent “Office Space”-style beating his copy takes, leads him to a record store where he encounters Jesus. After convincing him to make his second coming, the son of the Lord follows in the footsteps of so many stars and ends up a trainwreck. Harsh? Yes. Blasphemous? Probably. But that’s why we love it.
#5: “PTV” (Season 4, Episode 14)
Top 10 Most GRUESOME Family Guy Episodes
This episode is basically one big “screw-you” to network censors. When the FCC begins censoring all television after an unfortunate Emmy incident, Peter decides his only course of action is to start his own network. Yadda-yadda-yadda, the FCC doesn’t love that, so they start censoring everything. Episode highlight is tough to pinpoint: it’s a tie between Homer Simpson’s cameo, “The Peter Griffin Side-Boob Hour” and “The Freaking FCC” song.
#4: “Road to the Multiverse” (Season 8, Episode 1)
One of “Family Guy”’s many “Road To…” shows, this episode gives Stewie and Brian a special remote that lets them travel to parallel universes, where dogs rule and humans drool, JFK was never President, and other animation styles are king. Ambitious, sardonic and edgy, this episode is typically pop-culture heavy, with “Flintstones” references, “Disney” references and even “Robot Chicken” references. However, the live-action universe still freaks us out.
#3: “Emission Impossible” (Season 3, Episode 11)
Somebody on this show really loves “Star Wars.” In one of his most mischievous plans yet, Stewie attempts to prevent his parents from conceiving another baby, thus cementing his youngest-born status. He does so by shrinking himself down, entering his father’s body and shooting all his sperm, of course. But while inside, he meets his brother-to-be and newfound nemesis, Bertram, who proves to be a formidable opponent.
#2: “Da Boom” (Season 2, Episode 3)
Top 10 Underappreciated Modern Family Episodes
Not only is this Ernie the Giant Chicken’s first episode, it’s also Mila Kunis’ first episode as Meg. She and the rest of the Griffins survive Y2K, emerging to a world where Cleveland and Quagmire are one, a Twinkie factory offers salvation, and Octo-Stewie lays a thousand eggs. Among its pantheon of pop-culture references is a sneaky live-action “Dallas” spoof where we find out it was all a dream. Before we unveil our number on epick, here are a few honorable mentions: - “Death Has a Shadow” (Season 1, Episode 1) - “Road to Rhode Island” (Season 2, Episode 13) - “Road to Europe” (Season 3, Episode 20) - “The Father, the Son & the Holy Fonz” (Season 4, Episode 18) - “No Meals on Wheels” (Season 5, Episode 14) - “McStroke” (Season 6, Episode 8) - “Family Gay” (Season 7, Episode 8)
#1: “Petarded” (Season 4, Episode 6)
You know you shouldn’t laugh… Peter’s no genius – contrary to what he thinks. But after finding out he’s mentally-challenged, Peter discovers he can get away with everything thanks to his newfound reputation as the town retard. Of course, that loses him his kids, lands his wife in the hospital, etc. But it all works out in the end. Best line of the show goes to Stewie, btw. With over 200 episodes of “Family Guy” in the can, we’re sure we’ve left out a few of your favorites. Which do you think is the best?
