Let’s start our list with one of the stranger entries we have to offer. Pinocchio is a famed wooden puppet, who attains a semblance of life and intelligence through a wish his maker Geppetto makes upon a star. While Pinocchio’s status as a wooden boy grants him a degree of durability that real boys don’t have, perhaps his most notable, and unfortunate, ability is that of his nose; which grows longer, as well as progressively more tree-like, whenever he tells a lie. Though it may prove more of a hindrance than help to Pinocchio, it’s definitely a special power.

One of the most boisterous residents of the Hundred Acre Wood, Tigger is a tiger (we think?) whose confident attitude and sense of adventure are worthy of any superhero. Although his boundless energy is definitely super, Tigger’s most notable special power is his ability to bounce on his tail like a spring. Tigger’s bounciness usually proves an irritation to his friends, though he also uses it to help them out on occasion. Tigger’s bouncy tail is particularly special because, after all, he’s one of a kind. “But the most wonderful thing about Tiggers is, I'm the only one.”

While he may look harmless enough, Stitch is actually incredibly dangerous, since he was genetically engineered to be a living weapon and previously known as Experiment 626. His body, though compact, is immortal, as well as fireproof and bulletproof. Stitch can also shapeshift to some degree and has superhuman strength and speed. Then there’s his incredible brain power, which allows him to learn languages and other skills at a rate far superior to humans. Basically, Stitch has a grab bag of abilities that would make any superhero jealous in one pint-sized, mischievous package.

Superpowers can come in many forms, and Rapunzel’s abilities are some of the most unusual. After her mother was healed using a magic flower while pregnant with her, Rapunzel was born with hair that, in addition to being long and gorgeous, also has healing properties. The princess’ luscious locks can initially heal the sick or dead and even grant immortality. Although she loses these abilities, and her hair’s golden shine, by the end of the film, the TV series restores its luster and gives her all new hair-related powers, enabling her to move her hair like a whip and create a shield with it. Talk about some “hair-raising” abilities!

#6: Raven Baxter “That’s So Raven” franchise (2003-)

The titular heroine of this franchise, Raven Baxter is a psychic who sees the future, in the form of visions of events yet to come. Raven’s visions form a major part of the storyline of each episode, as what she sees often gets her and those around her into, and sometimes out of, trouble. With concentration, Raven can refine her powers to see the immediate future and on one occasion she was even able to see into the minds of others. Rae’s superpower hasn’t proved very helpful in her career though, so we doubt she’d be able to apply it to superheroism, at least professionally.

“You can fly! You can fly! you can fly!” Yup. Thanks to fairy dust, the famed boy hero of this franchise can defy gravity and move through the air with the greatest of ease, confounding his enemies and making travel a near literal breeze. Besides the obvious superpower, Peter also possesses eternal youth, forever staying a boy while in Neverland. Last but not least, the green clad trickster also has a shadow with a life of its own that is able to move independently from him. While he doesn’t always utilize all his powers to their greatest potential, Peter Pan still manages plenty of heroism.

This was a no-brainer. As the son of the Olympian gods Zeus and Hera, Hercules is a literal demigod. Hercules’ strength, speed, and endurance are all superhuman; allowing him to take on powerful creatures…as well as show off. The young hero also briefly ascends to godhood, which comes with its own accompanying powers, including immortality - though he gives them up. While the Disney version may not technically be a superhero, Hercules is one of the legendary figures most superheroes took their inspiration from, which means without him, or at least his mythical origins, we might not have made this list to begin with.

Speaking of demigods, Maui is a former human granted powers by the gods after being abandoned by his parents. Maui possesses ridiculously powerful physical strength that allows him to shift islands and even the sun and sky. He is also immortal and, with the help of his magic fishhook, can morph into different animals. Perhaps Maui’s most unusual powers are his living tattoos, which are created upon his most major accomplishments. With all those powers, we can understand why he’s gotten such a big head.

The Snow Queen herself, Elsa, as her nickname suggests, has power over ice and snow. Since she was a child, Elsa has been able to not only manipulate, but also generate different forms of frozen water. This allows her to create vast structures made from the substance, as well as alter the properties of existing ice and snow; even imbuing life and intelligence into it to create living snow or ice creatures, such as the snowman, Olaf. Despite her powers, Elsa is anything but cold-hearted and we know she’d make an excellent superheroine. Then again, we prefer her current outfit to any super suit. There ain’t never been a superhero like this! The genie of the lamp is arguably the most powerful character on our list. Gifted or cursed with god-like abilities, Genie can do almost anything and is limited perhaps only by his imagination - or at least in the first film, by his contract with the lamp’s owner. Able to shapeshift himself and others, create illusions, and reshape reality, the Genie theoretically can do everything everyone else on our list can (and more!), which is why he had to be our number one.
