From Disney to Dirrty Diva. Join MsMojo as we count down our picks for the Top 10 Christina Aguilera Songs.

For this list, we've chosen our entries based on a combination of the artist's fan favorites and their most commercially successful songs. We will be excluding songs on which Christina is only a featured artists, so don't expect to see any “Moves Like Jagger” or “Lady Marmalade”, as good as those songs are.

Top 10 Hardest Christina Aguilera Songs to Sing

As the first song written for the teen diva’s debut album, this catchy track received a slight remix upon the enormous success of “Genie in a Bottle.” While the vocals don’t show off the incredible range of Christina Aguilera, “What a Girl Wants” became her second consecutive #1 hit thanks to the radio-friendly chorus and a music video that further established the 18-year-old Aguilera as a true pop star. Of course, MTV’s Total Request Live was a major factor of the song’s popularity, and Christina closed off the decade by performing the hit at MTV’s New Year’s Special.

#9: “Come On Over Baby (All I Want Is You)” Christina Aguilera (1999)

Ten months after dropping “What a Girl Wants,” Christina Aguilera released the fourth and final single off her debut album, which resulted in her third Billboard #1. It was this jam that allowed the pop star to flex her creative muscles and display a more mature look in the music video. Lyrically, Christina shredded her vocals and even laid down a few breathy rhymes while thoroughly cementing herself as one of the most versatile pop stars of the day. In a time when Britney Spears was pouting, “Oops, I did it again,” Aguilera embraced her artistic freedom and was about to get “Dirrty.”

#8: “Ain’t No Other Man” Back to Basics (2006)

Well into her reign atop the charts, Christina Aguilera kicked off this throwback joint with classic Xtina flair. “Ain’t No Other Man” was based on the singer’s recent marriage with husband Jordan Bratman, and Christina teamed up with DJ Premiere and future American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi to write the funky production. Sassy and soulful, the lead single from Christina’s fifth album channeled the days of old, as she embarked on a new stage in her personal life and professional career. Winning a Grammy Award and performed across the globe, “Ain’t No Other Man” proved that Aguilera was in full command of her musical identity.

#7: “Reflection” Mulan: An Original Walt Disney Records Soundtrack (1998)

Everybody need to start somewhere, right? Well, in 1998, Christina Aguilera recorded a heartwarming number for the Disney film “Mulan,” and while her vocal capabilities were prominently displayed, her teenybopper image had not quite received the full pop star treatment. Given the lyrics of self-discovery and individuality, perhaps Christina took this song to heart as she prepared to record her debut album. In fact, it was “Reflection” that initially led to Aguilera’s record deal, and a fitting transition from her time on “The Mickey Mouse Club”.

#6: “Your Body” Lotus (2012)

Britney Spears Vs. Christina Aguilera: Music Showdown

In the late summer of 2012, Christina Aguilera was serving as a judge on NBC’s “The Voice” and it was this controversial single that put her back on the charts. By teaming up with Swedish producer Max Martin, a 32-year-old, recently divorced Christina Aguilera found a new groove and sang about getting her freak on. In fact, she appeared as a provocative manslayer in the explosive music video and showed off that she’s still got it.

#5: “Dirrty” feat. Redman Stripped (2002)

If “Your Body” was the re-emergence of a seductive Christina Aguilera, this was the original production that established her as an undeniable sex symbol. For the lead single of Stripped, the evolving artist introduced a new pop star persona, and while the lyrics effectively conveyed the concept of “Dirrty,” it was the music video directed by David LaChapelle that hammered home the message. By collaborating with Redman, Christina shed her slightly innocent image and threw down the gauntlet on critics who expected a packaged product. “Dirrty” wasn’t necessarily a commercial success in the United States, as Americans weren’t quite ready for the overly sexual content, but you know damn well the Europeans were, and “Dirrty” became a massive hit overseas.

#4: “Hurt” Back to Basics (2006)

Treyar Hurt - Solar Flare

With a stripped down approach and chilling vocals, Christina Aguilera expressed the sorrow of losing a loved one in this soulful single co-written by Linda Perry and Mr. Uptown Funk himself, Mark Ronson. “Hurt” truly allowed Christina to showcase her vocal talents above everything else, and in the haunting music video, Aguilera once again employed a throwback theme by starring as a circus performer too busy for the outside world. “Hurt” became an international success and highlighted both the singer’s illustrious range and classic beauty.

#3: “Fighter” Stripped (2002)

Six months after releasing the sexually suggestive “Dirrty,” Christina Aguilera dropped a rock-inspired anthem of female empowerment based on Guns N’ Roses “November Rain.” Lyrically, “Fighter” takes aim at backstabbers and psychological tormentors, both of whom Aguilera confronted during her early years as a devoted performer. In the darkly lit music video, Aguilera sports a black velvet kimono and figuratively shreds all the haters of the world through an impassioned plea for discovering one’s self-confidence. This song knocked the industry on its ass and led to a personal re-awakening for millions of admiring fans.

#2: “Genie in a Bottle” Christina Aguilera (1999)

Filled with double-entendres and laced with a classic late-90s beat, this song introduced Christina Aguilera to mainstream America while infusing some ethnicity into pop music. “Genie in a Bottle” stands on its own as legitimate Billboard hit, but once the world took a look at the music video, they realized that a new face in pop music had emerged. By retaining her Spanish last name, Aguilera’s reach extended worldwide and her remarkable voice ensured that nobody would forget who she was. “Genie in Bottle” shot straight to #1 and quickly took hold of a new MTV generation. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. “Candyman” Back to Basics (2006) “I Turn to You” Christina Aguilera (1999) “Keeps Gettin’ Better” Keeps Gettin' Better: A Decade of Hits (2008) “Can’t Hold Us Down” feat. Lil’ Kim Stripped (2002) “The Voice Within” Stripped (2002)

#1: “Beautiful” Stripped (2002)

Written by producer and former 4 Non Blondes singer Linda Perry, this song was recorded for Christina Aguilera’s game-changing 2002 album and ultimately earned her a Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance. With central themes of self-esteem and inner confidence, “Beautiful” touched a chord with listeners struggling to survive in a rapidly evolving world, and featured a music video highlighting gay and transgender individuals, opening up the doors for social discourse. Also as far as titles of songs go, this is definitely one of the most fitting. So, do you agree with our selections? What is your favorite Christina Aguilera song?
