Don't be afraid to use your nails, boys! Join http://www.WatchMojo.com as we count down our picks for the Top 10 Characters With Claws. For this list, we're featuring clawed characters from film, television and video games, whether natural or otherwise. But we're excluding anyone with a simple hook hand, like a certain famous Peter Pan antagonist.

Special thanks to our users Leo Lazar Jakšić and mac121mr0 for submitting the idea on our Suggestion Tool at http://www.WatchMojo.comsuggest

#10: Dr. Claw “Inspector Gadget” (1999)

Top 20 Characters Who Never Revealed Their Faces

Sure, the cartoon incarnation was mostly clawed in name only; however things got literal in the film adaptation. In the 1999 live-action film, Inspector Gadget’s antagonist, Sanford Scolex, takes on a new identity with the help of neurotic assistant Kramer, and sports a mega-claw designed to wreak havoc upon the city of Riverton. Aesthetically modest, the claw itself doesn’t say, “look at me” but rather serves as a natural extension of the doc’s psychotic personality. Fans went nuts when Claw revealed his face, but it’s his robotic left hand that remains his most memorable feature.

#9: Shredder “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” (2014)

Every incarnation has been a fan of handspikes, but this 3D version really packs sharp hand apparel. This mysterious warrior shows no fear in battle, and why would you when you enjoy massive claws and can get down with some ninjutsu like few others? As leader of the Foot Clan, Shredder takes claw swag to the next level and one can’t blame the turtles for their concern when he appears. He’s agile and undoubtedly hungry for power, while his collection of gadgets would make Inspector Gadget drool from pure jealousy. Although some characters with claws aren’t intimidating, this guy could launch you five towns over with the flick of the wrist.

#8: Tee Hee Johnson “Live and Let Die” (1973)

Top 10 Overpowered Disney Characters (Live Action)

What’s life all about if you can’t laugh at the most ridiculous things? This dapper gent was deformed by an angry alligator, but it allowed him to achieve his lifelong dream of becoming a claw-wielding henchman for Mr. Big. Some may find his laughter annoying, but a heavy-duty claw ensures that Tee Hee receives little back talk. With a large frame and powerful hook, who would have thought that a few snips would ultimately silence the laughter forever? A sturdyclaw? Yes. Sturdy…sturdy but flawed.

#7: Vega “Street Fighter” (1987-)

After emerging by way of a con gone wrong, this Spanish badass unveiled his foot-long claws with precision and flamboyance. Vega clearly has some type of monthly gym membership, and his silver mask only enhances his natural cool. While his claws are effective during combat, one could argue that upgrades are necessary. The simple truth, however, is that Vega will slice and dice anyone critical of his preferred claws. This character has appeared in numerous versions of the franchise, and everybody respects the power of Vega.

#6: Count Orlok “Nosferatu” (1922)

Also in:

Supervillain Origins: Count Nefaria

He’s one of the original shadowy figures of cinema. When Thomas Hutter arrives at Count Orlok’s pad, he discovers the mysterious host truly sucks in the literal sense. Furthermore, he lurks in the night, which highlights the form of his pointy claws. Armed with equally pointy ears, you might say Nosferatu is the unofficial outcast of characters with claws. Graf Orlock will stalk you, stare at you and then awkwardly leave the room. You’ll know when this clawed creep has officially left the building.

#5: Han “Enter the Dragon” (1973)

Also in:

Top 10 Movie Characters with Badass Artificial Limbs

Who’s got a 4-point claw and tries to slice up Bruce Lee? THIS GUY! The shaolin master extended his hand, err – claw, to Lee only to find himself on the receiving end of a hilariously classic beat down. As the mysterious leader of his own island, it’s only natural that Han would have something weird like an enormous claw to greet visitors with. Armed with a powerful army and ready to test drugs on unsuspecting guests, Han injects himself into the action with a rather ironic final result.

#4: The Predator “Predator” (1987)

Also in:

Top 10 Smartest Decision in Prey (Predator 5)

Dutch couldn’t have been more accurate when he described this extra-terrestrial hunting machine as “one ugly motherfucker!” And while it’s true that this sentient, humanoid alien isn’t very pretty to look at, does that really matter when it also possesses adaptive camouflage, directed energy weapons and retractable blades that can be used to impale its prey? Not only that, but these claw-like weapons also let the Predator skin its victims and take their skulls as trophies. This late ‘80s sci-fi creature was so deadly and so popular that it spawned multiple sequels and crossover films that have allowed The Predator and the fellow members of its species to slash their way into pop culture for good.

#3: Edward Scissorhands “Edward Scissorhands” (1990)

Also in:

Top 10 Reasons Edward Cullen is the WORST

After an inventor dies from a heart attack, a rather ambitious creation goes unfinished, and so, the gothic Eddie is left to complete daily tasks with a natural flair. The claws of Mr. Scissorhands could best be described as “ginormous” and he puts them to good use. He’s an artist and works proficiently to improve the lives of others. Call him a freak or call him a gift from…someone…this man’s claws were built to impress.

#2: Freddy Krueger “A Nightmare on Elm Street” franchise (1984-)

Also in:

Top 10 Greatest Freddy Krueger Scenes

While some are born with claws and others wear them for practical reasons, this man wears a glove of claws simply to haunt your dreams. The claws of Freddy Krueger are large and in charge. Faster than one can say “one, two, Freddy’s coming for you,” the man in the dirty Fedora will appear and slash away your dreams and possibly a few body parts. Let’s just say if Freddy Krueger appears, it won’t be a friendly visit. He embraces the claw with vigor, and his long history of dream kills makes him a formidable claw opponent. Before we slash our way to our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions. - Meier Link “Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust” (2000) - David Kessler / Werewolf “An American Werewolf in London” (1981) - Lawrence Talbot / The Wolfman “The Wolfman” (2010) - Max Dire “Full Eclipse” (1993)

#1: Logan / Wolverine “X-Men” franchise (2000-)

Also in:

Top 10 Logan Easter Eggs

This Marvel superhero has appeared in seven feature films and remains the definitive character with claws. Wolverine’s physical appearance reminds us that he doesn’t necessarily even need claws, which makes his shimmering blades even more frightening. Of course, fellow X-men characters Sabretooth and Lady Deathstrike have potent claws of their own. Played by the brooding Hugh Jackman, Wolverine first appeared on the big screen in 2000, but his pointed claws have figuratively reached out to various media of pop culture. Wolverine is synonymous with the “X-Men” franchise, and is the most claw-tastic character of all-time. Do you agree with our list? Who is your favorite character with claws?
