#10: Sarah Snook

On a night full of stars, Sarah Snook from “Succession” wore a dress with echoes of a starry night, effortlessly complementing her red hair with the green sparkle. As Siobhan “Shiv” Roy, Snook plays a wealthy woman who’s used to the finer things in life. We could definitely see Shiv rocking this Galvan London dress; the deep neckline contrasted with the long sleeves really keeps this both daring and classy. Coming from the business world, Shiv knows the importance of putting up a confident front, and Snook was nothing short of at ease in this ensemble. Snook also sported Asprey earrings that were estimated to be worth over $1 million. Yep, this look would feel right at home in Shiv’s wardrobe.

#9: Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale blossomed in her light pink Julien Macdonald dress, which made for a graceful fusion of silk and sequins. In a bold move, the English actress distinguished the one-shoulder gown with a sleeve that seemingly transformed into a train. This wasn’t Beckinsale’s only daring choice, as her dress also came complete with a slit reaching up to her thigh. The dress didn’t distract, however, from Beckinsale’s shining silver earrings and divine makeup. It’s definitely a refreshing alternative to the leather outfits she wears in the “Underworld” movies, but we’re sure Beckinsale could still fight the supernatural in this stellar dress.

#8: Anne Hathaway

Nominated for her performance in the series “Modern Love,” Anne Hathaway had us falling head over heels for this Versace dress. Hathaway certainly appeared statuesque in her gold gown with rippling sleeves and a sinking neckline. The actress let her sleek hair hang down with a radiant makeup bringing out her charming personality. With Hathaway having just recently given birth to her second child, it’s nice to get to see her rock the red carpet again since she knocks our socks off every time. As if we needed any more evidence, this dress further proves that Hathaway can do it all.

#7: Florence Pugh

With her star-making turn in “Midsommar” and Critics' Choice-nominated work in “Little Women,” few actresses have excited us over the past year quite like Florence Pugh. This excitement extended to the blue carpet where Pugh dazzled in her shimmering Prada dress. Pugh decked out her dress in silver sequins, which matched splendidly with her Messika drop earrings. The industry’s new “It girl” made her way past the paparazzi in a pair of white Jimmy Choo heels with diamond detail. Pugh curved her hair up into a slick wave and rounded out the look with sparkling makeup. It’s only a matter of time until this “little woman” blows up into one of Hollywood’s biggest names.

#6: Billy Porter

Another award show, another unforgettable Billy Porter look. On “Pose,” Porter plays Pray Tell, everyone’s favorite emcee for the New York drag balls, and both the character and Billy Porter always know how to get the crowd’s attention. Porter wore a two-tone Hogan McLaughlin jumpsuit gown, complementing the minty, strapless ensemble with chunky silver accessories and butterfly body art decorating his upper half. The ensemble was so extravagant that you might’ve missed his Coach Turbo platform boots, and the subtle fluorescent detail of his nails and eyeliner. Porter has always had an outgoing personality, but he really came out of his cocoon for this night.

#5: Lupita Nyong’o

Top 10 Lupita Nyong'o Fashion Moments

She got five on it! Lupita Nyong’o traded in her red jumpsuit from “Us” for a Michael Kors dress that we’d love to tether ourselves to. The Best Actress nominee’s dress was a combination of brown full-length skirt with a sleeveless leather top. She matched her gold-plated waistline with a clutch and Pomellato jewelry. Hairstylist Vernon François was responsible for Nyong’o’s eye-catching updo, which he called “AfroClouds” on his Instagram account. Nyong’o’s makeup was just as fabulous with bright red lipstick, dark eye-liner, and perfect complexion. Oh, and to anyone who thinks that glasses aren’t attractive, Lupita just proved you dead wrong!

#4: Kaitlyn Dever

Kaitlyn Dever had a breakthrough year in 2019 with her performances in “Booksmart” and “Unbelievable.” Whether we’re talking about film, television, or the red carpet, she’s definitely one to keep an eye on. Dever truly had a Cinderella moment at the Critics’ Choice Awards, and we’re not just saying that because of her silver heels looked like glass slippers. The young actress couldn’t have been prettier in her peach Dior Haute Couture dress. Dever added a fashionable belt that could easily be mistaken for a ribbon. The strapless dress was surrounded by an almost invisible fishnet material, giving it a fairy tale sentiment - even Dever herself said she felt like a woodland fairy. The gown aside, Dever dazzled with her snow-white skin, luscious red lipstick, and subtle shimmering highlight.

#3: Nicole Kidman

You can always count on Nicole Kidman to class up the joint. Her stylish Armani Privé dress had an Audrey Hepburn quality to it, which is fitting if you’ve seen “Big Little Lies.” The blonde-haired beauty wrapped herself in a strapless combination velvet and beaded dress, with a ribbon accentuating her thin waist. What really made the dress pop on the carpet was her sparkling skirt, which beamed as lights and camera flashes hit it. Kidman completed the look with a pair of Harry Winston heels and diamond earrings. If you were to look up the word “bombshell” in the dictionary, we have a feeling you might find a photo of Kidman in this stunning gown.

#2: Jennifer Lopez

For better or worse, Jennifer Lopez is known for going big when it comes to the red carpet. At this award show, however, Lopez went for a more understated look. That’s not to say that the “Hustlers” actress underwhelmed in her Georges Hobeika dress. On the contrary, the figure-hugging beige gown is one of JLo’s sleekest and most elegant looks to date. The dress was virtually backless other than the rhinestones running down her spine and across her midriff and neck. She accessorized with a silver Harry Winston bracelet and crystal chandelier earrings, along with a Jimmy Choo bag. It perfectly exemplifies why diamonds are a girl’s best friend.

Before we get to our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions:

Mandy Moore

Alison Brie

Laura Dern

Phoebe Waller-Bridge

#1: Zendaya

Zendaya continued her string of daring award show looks with this two-piece Tom Ford dress. The “Euphoria” actress sported a metallic hot pink top with straps running around the back. The breastplate had the essence of something you’d see a warrior princess don before charging into battle, but the maxi skirt added some softness overall. She rounded out the ensemble with braided hair, Christian Louboutin heels, and matching pink eye shadow. It was another risky look from Zendaya, but she ultimately emerged fearless. Striking just the right of balance of powerful and luxurious, the young star absolutely dominated the Critics’ Choice Awards.
