#10: John Diggle/Spartan

Also in:

Top 10 Times John Krasinski Couldn't Keep a Straight Face on The Office

He’s a man so skilled, so wise, so bad ass, he needs no other name than “Diggle”…ok he’s also Spartan but come on, Diggle sounds cooler. As Oliver Queen’s bodyguard and confidant, John Diggle has been at the forefront of the Arrow’s city saving crusade since the beginning. As an ex-military specialist, Diggle’s well-versed in all manner of weapons and hand to hand combat. He’s one of the few people who can go toe-to-toe with Oliver in training and has even doubled for the Arrow in special emergencies. Dig’s also a loving husband and father and, more often than not, the voice of reason for Mr. Queen. Sage. warrior. Friend. In one word, he is, “Diggle.”

#9: Leonard Snart/Captain Cold

Top 10 Best Leonard & Sheldon Moments on The Big Bang Theory

At the top of the Flash’s Rogue’s Gallery, and probably the best guy to have on your side during a heist, Leonard Snart might seem as cold as his codename implies. Underneath the awesome one liners and sarcasm beats the heart of an honorable man. Snart has seen action on both sides of the spectrum, as a popular crook and as a member of the Legends of Tomorrow. In either case, Snart’s clearly having a blast, stealing scenes more easily than money. Along with his equally fun and menacing partner, Heat Wave, Captain Cold has cemented his place as one of the best things to ever happen to the Arrowverse.

#8: Ray Palmer/The Atom

Also in:

Top 10 Arrowverse Crossover Episodes

Sliding into the eight spot is this big brain with an even bigger heart. Ray Palmer’s a loveable, energetic nerd who simply wants to make the world a better place with his scientific knowledge. His skill with all kinds of technology makes him an ideal team member all across the Arrowverse. Well, there’s that and the fact that he has an exo-suit that enables him to shrink to the size of an atom. Ray occasionally has his doubts about whether he’s cut out to be a hero. Watching him overcome these doubts always makes for a cheer-worthy moment, especially when he gets into the game and delivers some fun, nerdy commentary to lighten the mood.

#7: Alex Danvers

Also in:

Top 10 SAVAGE Alex Trebek Moments

It’s not easy growing up with an alien sister who can leap tall building in a single bound. That hasn’t stopped Alex from becoming a strong woman all on her own. While she does have the brains and toughness necessary to roll with the Department of Extra-Normal Operations, Alex’s true power is her endearing heart. She is always, ALWAYS there for her adopted little sister, Kara, be it for advice or a simple hug. Alex’s faith in Kara and their sisterhood has hardly faltered. Bonus points to this lovely lady for being able to go all Lara Croft bad ass on any alien, even if she knows she doesn’t stand a chance. That’s a true inspirational big sis right there.

#6: Sara Lance/Black Canary/White Canary

From the moment she first appeared on Arrow, Sara Lance has been a furious force to be reckoned with. As the White Canary, Sara is a top notch assassin, capable of taking on the biggest of foes. Her strength, lethal abilities and confidence make her a more than welcome addition to both Team Arrow and the Legends of Tomorrow. Her success as a superheroine even inspires her sister, Laurel, to take up her original Black Canary mantle when she isn’t around. A mix of good looks and deadly precision, Sara Lance is the girl every hero, or heroine, wishes they had a shot with…if they could survive a date with her that is.

#5: Rip Hunter

Also in:

Top 10 Badass Women in the Arrowverse

Most boys dream of having a spaceship that can travel through time and space. Rip Hunter is living that dream. As a renegade Time Master, Rip is constantly getting into trouble across the time/space continuum. Granted, a lot of the time, his team, the Legends of Tomorrow, is responsible for starting that trouble in the first place – but still! Rip’s a capable captain and a crack shot with that sick Western style laser pistol. He may seem a little overprotective and bossy. However, this won’t stop Rip from doing some very deadly and hardcore deeds to protect his crew. This is one space cowboy we’d love to travel with on the Waverider.

#4: John Constantine

Also in:

Top 10 Times John Oliver Said What We Were All Thinking

He may say he’s on the side of the angels, but John Constantine is far from a servant of heaven himself. This chain smoking British wanderer is more a traveling salesman/conman than a superhero. But when it comes to the supernatural and paranormal, there is no better expert to have at your side. Constantine did have his own series before an unfortunate cancellation. However, his fan base was immense and this allowed him to be reintroduced into the Arrowverse via a special appearance in Arrow. Fans rejoiced and hope to see more of John Constantine across the Arrowverse down the line. What can we say, we’ve all got a soft spot for the bad boys.

#3: Kara Zor-El/Supergirl

As the Girl of Steel and Last Daughter of Krypton, Supergirl has soared out of Superman’s shadow. Even though she’s one of the most powerful heroes in the Arrowverse, she’s also a girl still learning about who she is and what it means to have her powers. And when she makes mistakes, Kara is eager to learn, do better, and continue doing what she does best - saving the world. She’s not just a pretty face either. When it comes to protecting her city and family, this girl has got a mean hot streak. While still a little new to the game, Kara has become one of the most beloved, beautiful and inspirational characters in all the Arrowverse.

#2: Oliver Queen/Green Arrow

Also in:

Top 10 Jason David Frank Tommy Oliver Moments In Power Rangers

Since the debut of Arrow, Oliver Queen has been at the center of one of the most fleshed out and compelling stories within the universe named after his alter ego. From selfish playboy to ruthless vigilante to full-fledged hero, Oliver’s been through it all. His darkness is a little on the Batman side compared to his comic book origins, but don’t mind. that He’s a fierce warrior who does it all with just martial arts training and a bow and arrow. Trust us, you don’t want to commit a crime and be around for him to say his signature line. Though to be honest, we never get tired of hearing Oliver say, “YOU HAVE FAILED THIS CITY”. Before we reveal our Top Pick, here are a few Honorable Mentions: Iris West Cat Grant Hank Henshaw/J’onn J’onzz/Martian Manhunter

#1: Barry Allen/The Flash

Also in:

Top 10 Most Intense Moments from Barry

The Scarlet Speedster of Central City finally arrives at the top of our list. Since his first appearance in Arrow, fans have enjoyed the awesomeness that is Barry Allen. He’s an instantly likeable guy who has his faults, but you still want to cheer for him. Barry cracks jokes in the middle of a battle and pretty much has great chemistry with everyone in his life, from his loving foster Dad, Joe, to the brooding Oliver Queen. When his red lightning blur zips through the streets, into battle, a sense of hope fills your heart. The Flash is the hero the Arrowverse deserves, a true symbol of justice. Don’t ever stop running, Barry. We’ll try to keep up. Do you agree with our list? Which Arrowverse character tops your list of favorites?
