Top 10 Anime Girl Fights Welcome to WatchMojo, and today we are counting down our picks for the Top 10 Anime Girl Fights! For this list, we’ll be looking at the best battles between two female characters in anime. Girls just want to have fun, and apparently knock each other’s skulls in, so let us know if your favourite femme fatale made the cut in the comments!

#10: Anaak vs Endorsi

“Tower of God” (2020) Ascending the titular tower is already an ordeal, but when you have a blood feud going on, that tends to make things dangerously complicated. After being revealed to be the daughter of a Princess of Jahad, Anaak makes it clear that she plans to take revenge on those that killed her mother simply because she fell in love, and that anyone who holds the name of Jahad will die by her hand. Endorsi just happens to be one such princess, leading the two of them to engage in a frantic chase where one wrong foot could lead to their downfall. Hard to believe that this battle signalled the start of their friendship!

#9: Panty & Stocking vs Scanty & Kneesocks

“Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt” (2010) Two sets of sisters, two sides of the same lewd coin, when these four threw down it wasn’t only a battle between heaven and hell, it was also a feast for the ecchi eyes. A typical ghost hunt for our favourite pair of vulgar angels takes something of a dark twist when they are set upon by two demons, who also happen to be named after undergarments. As to be expected, things get real messy, real fast. We not only get to see the Demon Sisters strut their stuff, but also have Panty and Stocking win the day by once again blowing everything up in the most absurd way possible.

#8: Taiga vs Sumire

“Toradora” (2008-09) School rumbles don’t come deadlier than this! After a friend’s love confession goes awry, Taiga is unable to hold back her rage against her nemesis, leading to the pair duking it out with both wooden swords and their fists. Despite her small stature, Taiga more than lives up to her namesake here, lashing out with such ferocity that we’re pretty sure if Ryuji hadn’t jumped in when he did, she would have mauled Sumire to a pulp. Teenage hormones –a force of nature onto themselves!

#7: Yuki vs Ryoko

“The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya” (2006-09) We’ve all been there, casually going about our lives, only for a classmate to try and stab us to death because they’re actually a humanoid interface sent to Earth by sentient data in order to keep tabs on another classmate…who just happens to be a borderline God. Thankfully for Kyon, his goose is spared at the last second when Yuki enters the scene, also revealed to be a techno-entity capable of performing incredible feats. While it looks like the happy go lucky killer has her on the ropes, it’s not long before the SOS Brigade member brings out the big guns and performs a force shut down on Ryoko’s plans.

#6: Yoruichi vs Soi Fon

“Bleach” (2004-12) A true clash of speed, this little reunion saw Soul Society’s very own killer bee trying to lay on the stings against her former mentor and idol. Despite having her own commando unit as well being able to instantly assassinate her target should she strike the same place twice…Soi Fon’s got a long way to go before she can measure up to the Goddess of Flash. Outdoing her pupil at every turn, Yoruichi doesn’t only demonstrate why she’s still top cat, but wins the day without really hurting her little bee.

#5: Merlin vs Grayroad

“The Seven Deadly Sins” (2014-) Two beings of immense magical power who can twist and break the fabric of reality. However, only one has the spellcasting chops, gorgeous looks, and unmistakable voice talent to stand at the top, and it’s not the gaggle of demonic bugs working for the Ten Commandments. Not only is Merlin able to easily wipe out her foe thanks to her handy ability to maintain her magical techniques without end, but also leaves every demon quivering in their non-existent boots by simply uttering her true name. Now that’s a flex.

#4: Ruler vs Archer

“Fate/Apocrypha” (2017) Sure, Atalanta is nowhere near as cray cray when compared to someone like Celenike, but she certainly gave it her all. In spite of his murderous tendencies, the sudden death of Jack the Ripper proved too much for her to bear, due to her desire to protect all children no matter the circumstances. In retaliation, the Archer of Red declared war on Jeanne, willing to pepper her with arrows and even turn herself into a monster if it meant she could take down the Ruler-class. It goes as well as you’d might expect.

#3: Akame vs Esdeath

“Akame ga Kill!” (2014) The Empire has been decimated, the members of Night Raid have been killed, and all that remains are two broken hearted warriors with nothing left to lose. Following on from Tatsumi’s sacrifice, Akame goes all out to bring down the psychotic Jaeger, to the point where she unleashes the double-edged sword that is her Imperial Arms. Ultimately, the two are brought to near ruin, with Esdeath choosing to die with her beloved Tatsumi, obliterating the pair of them in ice. It’s a solemn conclusion with no real winners, just one broken survivor.

#2: Ryuko vs Satsuki

“Kill la Kill” (2013-14) Hey, sisters fight all the time, though you’ll likely never see a sibling showdown as electrifying as this. Both armed with their Kamui, the rebellious firecracker trades blows with the academy’s undisputed ice queen, decimating everything around them in the process. While Satsuki’s lack of shame and single-minded determination allowed her to initially kick Ryuko to the curb, home girl eventually found her footing, allowing herself to fully accept Senketsu’s power. It’s kind of shocking they didn’t destroy the whole school with this little tussle of theirs.

#1: Homura vs Mami

Also in:

Anime Duel: Sailor Moon Vs Homura Akemi

“Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie Part III: Rebellion” (2013) There are gun battles, and then there’s this! While the lack of Kyoko is a tad disappointing, there’s no arguing that this unexpected firefight is mind-blowing. After recognising that her reality is nothing more than an illusion, Homura finds herself in the crosshairs of her fellow magical girl, who fears she’s gone off the deep end. What follows is a staggeringly beautiful, dance of death. With Mami’s endless supply of rifles combined with Homura’s time-stopping trigger, it’s not long before bullets are soaring through the air in slow-mo!
