VOICE OVER: Samantha Clinch WRITTEN BY: Tal Fox
These Amy Farrah Fowler moments all deserve a tiara. For this list, we'll be looking at our favorite moments and episodes featuring this quirky and adorkable neuroscientist. Our countdown includes her wedding day, overstaying her welcome, helping Sheldon find closure, and more!

#10: Masterminding Double Agent “Wildebeest” “The Wildebeest Implementation”

Amy can be a very loyal friend, perhaps too loyal at times. So, when Priya and Leonard invite Howard and Bernadette for dinner, she initiates Bernie as a double agent to get the dirt on Leonard’s new girlfriend. Amy spends the evening feeding Bernadette information, gathering intel, and bigging up Penny. She goes deep while weaving her detailed tale, and there’s no room for messing up. When Penny asks Amy if she isn’t over this high-school drama, she tells her that since she didn’t have friends, she never experienced it. Perhaps that’s why she revels being the center of attention when Bernadette and Penny clash in season eight. Can we get a “what, what?” Anyone?

#9: Introducing Amy Farrah Fowler “The Lunar Excitation”

You only get one chance to make a first impression, and let’s just say this one was…interesting. Until now, we couldn’t imagine anyone as… eccentric as Sheldon, but thanks to Howard and Raj, Amy Farrah Fowler enters the picture. As you might recall, the guys signed Sheldon up for online dating, and miraculously he gets a match! After some convincing, pleading and blackmailing, they convince him to meet her. Sheldon’s sure this is a waste of his time, but then he and Amy meet. It’s not the most romantic meet cute, at least not to us, but it’s clear that they were tailormade for each other. We could practically hear the wedding bells ringing already.

#8: Overstaying Her Welcome “The Pulled Groin Extrapolation”

We’ve all experienced that one visitor who doesn’t understand that the party's over and it’s time to go home. So when everyone leaves after dinner, Leonard’s left with Amy and the evening gets pretty uncomfortable, at least for him. It’s not even like she’s there for his company; she’s perfectly happy sitting in silence while he goes about his business. Although, we also discover that she’s an oversharer as well as an overstayer. Eventually, they find common ground, and Amy even invites him to be her plus one at a wedding. Despite all her social awkwardness, Amy proves to be a delightful date. Leonard might’ve not fallen in love with her, but we definitely did.

#7: Helping Sheldon Find Closure “The Closure Alternative”

Sheldon becomes rather distressed after learning that his TV show got canceled. So, Amy uses her expertise to help him overcome his pathological need for closure. She crafts a series of exercises that take him out of his comfort zone and force him to deal with the reality that closure’s not always possible. We know she’s just trying to help, but the glean in her eyes suggests she’s also enjoying making him squirm just a little bit. Still, we have to commend her on her efforts, commitment, and creativity, even if it uncovers our own unexplored desires for closure. It’s all hilarious; we just wish she’d been around to see Sheldon cave.

#6: A Tiara! “The Shiny Trinket Maneuver”

Amy’s usually a caring, attentive and devoted girlfriend. Unfortunately, that’s not always reciprocated, and she gets very upset when Sheldon’s dismissive of her achievement. After a frosty date night, Leonard suggests he buy her a gift to make it up to her, and Penny takes him to a jewelry store. Then they invite Amy over to allow Sheldon to apologize, but Amy doesn’t think she can be bought with shiny trinkets until… Nothing’s more joyous than watching Amy freak out over her gift, and she’s not wrong; she does look like a princess. It’s a sweet gesture for Amy and the gift that keeps on giving for the rest of us. We never tire of her reaction.

#5: Her Wedding Day “The Bow Tie Asymmetry”

Shamy’s come a long way since their first meeting in that coffee shop, and now those wedding bells are just around the corner. Much of season 11 was devoted to their upcoming nuptials, including Amy’s wild bachelorette party. Talk about a night to barely remember! However, the season finale finally brought about the big day. It’s a lot of fun watching the families meet and seeing everyone pitch in to help things run smoothly. But, in typical Shamy fashion, the soon-to-be-weds find time to work on their Super asymmetry theory before heading down the aisle. Sure, Amy’s vows are adorable, but nothing convinced us more that this couple was meant-to-be than holding up their own wedding for science.

#4: Amy Just Wants Sheldon to Be Happy “The Confirmation Polarization”

Top 10 The Big Bang Theory Moments That Made Us Happy Cry

Sheldon’s on the brink of achieving a lifelong dream when two physicists from Chicago drop a nasty bombshell that could taint this momentous honor. When Sheldon tells Amy about it, she’s understandably shocked and a little disappointed, but she doesn’t want to come between her husband and his ultimate goal. Winning a Nobel is a very impressive once-in-a-lifetime accomplishment, so her willingness to give it up for her husband’s happiness is unbelievably moving. We can’t watch this scene without welling up every time. Find someone who’s willing to give up a Nobel Prize for you. We never thought we’d say this, but Amy and Sheldon might just be couple goals.

#3: Bonding with Howard “The Scavenger Vortex”

We don’t often see Howard and Amy hang out, and there’s a good reason for that. However, throw in a little Neil Diamond, and you’d think they’d been best buds for years. When they’re paired up for Raj’s scavenger hunt, things start out a little awkward until they’re unified by their musical tastes. After that, the competition takes second place (as do they) to their mutual love of the “America” singer. Eventually, they give up on the contest altogether in favor of karaoke. Another Neil bonds them again in season 11 when they start working together. This friendship is highly underrated, and we wish they’d explored it further.

#2: Amy’s Big Birthday Surprise “The Opening Night Excitation”

We never thought this day would happen, but Sheldon’s finally ready to get it on with Amy. And you know who’s most excited? That’s right, Amy Farrah Fowler. But since it was meant to be a surprise, she struggles to keep her cool around Sheldon; she just wants him to “give it” to her. The scene leading up to their first coital experience takes us through a plethora of emotions. Amy’s built up the moment so much that now it’s about to happen, she’s adorkably nervous. When we return to the now post-coital couple, their commentary on the event is as cute as it is hilarious. The smile on Amy’s face says it all. When Amy comes down with the flu, Sheldon’s obliged to take care of her. While his bedside manner might be lacking, he puts in the hours to make her feel better. Amy starts enjoying this special treatment, especially when it involves rubbing VapoRub on her chest. Even after she starts feeling better, she continues to fake symptoms just to get some more TLC from Sheldon. However, things take an unexpected turn when he diagnoses her as a “Liar, Liar, Pants of Fire” and thinks up an appropriate punishment for her deception. Let’s just say Amy learns her lesson, just not the one Sheldon was trying to impart. Meanwhile, we got this iconic blooper.
