Spidey's had some iconic moments in his film career. For this list, we'll be going over the most memorable, impactful scenes from each of the webhead's films. Our countdown includes “Spider-Man”, "Spider-Man: Far From Home", “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse”, and more!

Peter’s Transformation

Comparing All The Peter Pan Movies

“Spider-Man” (2002) The first modern “Spider-Man” movie features plenty of iconic scenes. We loved the cage fight, and memorized Uncle Ben’s famous speech about great power and responsibility. But we’re electing for a moment that might go under the radar, yet is still monumental – Peter Parker’s transformation. After getting bit by that radioactive spider, Peter stumbles home and collapses into bed. We’re treated to a creepy dream sequence featuring a spider, as well as a visualization of his DNA being rewritten. Upon waking up, Peter discovers he no longer needs glasses and has undergone some major physical changes. This scene of discovery marked the momentous start for Spider-Man’s origin story.

The Train Battle & Rescue

“Spider-Man 2” (2004) We know this is totally a big surprise ... After Doc Ock captures Mary-Jane, Peter Parker goes after him. Their battle spills onto a moving subway train. The mobile location offers a lot of creative moves for both combatants during their thrilling battle. However, things go into overdrive, literally, when Doc Ock sets the train on a collision course with the end of the line. Faced with pursuing him or saving the train, Spidey makes the heroic choice. Peter uses all the webs he can, alongside his considerable strength, to halt the runaway train before anyone gets hurt. It’s a “runaway” favorite for many “Spider-Man 2” fans and is still one of the best superhero scenes ever.

The Sandman Rises

“Spider-Man 3” (2007) The finale of Raimi’s “Spider-Man” trilogy saw the introduction of Sandman. But before he fought Spider-man, we got an excellent scene that showed how the villain got his powers. After Flint Marko stumbles into a particle accelerator while on the run, he is seemingly dissolved. But after the experiment concludes, the sand in the pit begins to form into a man’s shape. We watch as Marko takes his first steps to reforming his body in a scene without dialogue. Upon finding a locket with his daughter’s picture, his resolve begins to harden, and he becomes himself again. It’s a scene with well-executed visual storytelling that really makes you feel for the antagonist.

Crane Swinging

“The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012) Five years after Tobey Maguire hung up the suit, Andrew Garfield picked up the mantle to deliver more memorable scenes. His most amazing moment came in the third act when Peter races to reach Oscorp to stop the Lizard’s evil plot. But Spider-man isn’t able to move as fast because of a leg injury. Luckily, he has help. The father of a boy who Spider-man saved earlier gets his fellow crane operators to line up their machines. This clears the way for Peter to swing to Oscorp in a beautifully shot and awe inspiring scene. Not only does the web swinging action look great, but the stirring music really makes it feel like an epic moment.

Gwen Stacy’s Fall

“The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (2014) As great as the battle with Electro in Times Square was, there was another moment that still sticks with us today. After Peter’s longtime friend Harry Osborn breaks bad, he holds Gwen Stacy hostage. The webhead does everything he can to try and save his girlfriend. During the course of the conflict, all three of them end up near the top of a clock tower. After Gwen starts falling, Peter catches her with a web. But it breaks in the heat of battle. Although Peter tries to catch Gwen again, he doesn’t reach her in time. This moment is an absolute gut punch that’s made even more heartbreaking by Andrew Garfield’s strong performance. It’s easily one of the most emotional scenes in the “Spider-man” franchise.

Lifting the Rubble

“Spider-Man: Homecoming” (2017) Spider-Man’s first self-titled MCU film had many fantastic scenes. Although we considered picking Adrian Toomes’ terrifying dad talk, there was a more monumental moment to discuss. After confronting the Vulture at his hideout, Peter tries to capture him. But the villain breaks the support beams holding the ceiling above the webhead. This leaves Peter trapped under tons of debris. After he panics and cries out for help, he catches a glimpse of his mask and recalls some words from Tony Stark. Peter is then inspired to dig deeper and use his phenomenal strength to save himself. The image of Spider-man lifting rubble is an iconic image in the character’s history. This scene absolutely does that comic moment justice.

Leap of Faith

“Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” (2018) Even though Miles Morales gets bitten by a radioactive spider early in the film, he’s not ready to be Spider-Man right away. Before Miles is left behind by the other Spider-People, Peter B. Parker explains that it takes a leap of faith to become a hero. Miles eventually escapes and acquires web shooters as well as a suit that he spray paints with a unique design. After climbing a tall building, he makes a literal leap of faith. The gorgeous jump is swiftly followed by a visually stunning swinging sequence. It’s a defining character moment for Miles that marked the beginning of his heroic career. Before the movie ends, he repays the lesson he learned by encouraging Peter B. to take a leap of faith too.

“Spider-Man: Far From Home” (2019) After learning that Quentin Beck, a.k.a. Mysterio, has fooled him in order to gain access to a weapons system, Peter Parker meets with Nick Fury in a secure building. But the entire structure is actually an illusion created by Beck. Mysterio then bombards Peter with an array of disorienting and striking illusions. Although things look up when Fury appears to take down Beck, the villains’ fall is yet another ruse. Mysterio then tricks Peter into standing on a railway track where the webhead’s hit by a train. This fight is one of the most abstract and arresting fights Spider-Man has been involved in onscreen. It packs both a physical and emotional punch.
