Test Drive: 2010 Nissan Cube Krom
Interior
Inside, the boxy shape and feel continues, but that's not the message Nissan wanted to convey. Based on a hot tub, the interior is large and roomy and even features ripples on the ceiling, on the speakers and in the cup holders to keep that hot tub theme flowing. Spacious and comfortable, the Cube is at least practical. With a large boot and plenty of room in the back seat, if you need a car for cargo or people carrying without the crossover or SUV bigness, then this is the car for you. Add to that the ambient light feature (that lets you cycle through a myriad of colors to choose one that suits your mood, or let it cycle through like a disco in your car), and the driver's side cup holders by the steering wheel (our favorite feature) and you've got a pretty decent car -- if you can pull of the look.
Drive
Test Drive: Nissan Leaf
Driving the Nissan Cube is hardly exciting. And with several different models available, the engine or power remains the same throughout them all. Design elements are all that change on the different models. On all models the Cube is equipped with a 1.8-liter engine that pushes out just over a 100 horses, it's really not even worth talking about. But then, this isn't meant to be a "drivers" car, so that's fine.
Market
Taking On The Spanish Market: The Dodo Goes Español - size of Hispanic audience? - Mojo Talks
The Nissan Cube is aimed at the college-kid market; the first-timer buyer looking for a cool car that will be functional but make them stand out from the crowd. But is it cool to be square? We're still not quite sure.
