An Unfortunate Shower
In the otherwise civilized city of Saint Denis, you might go and get a nice room and a hot bath for Arthur to kick back with after a long day. But if you find yourself in the wrong place at the wrong time, you might just get a shower that you didn’t ask for. That’s the fate of these unfortunate fellows, who happen to have someone’s chamber pot emptied out on their heads from a balcony above. Poor guys! Just look at their reaction.
Clandestine Meetings
We find a number of hilarious encounters exploring the wild west, from crazy farmers to aliens, and people who predict our future. Red Dead Redemption 2 truly has it all. It seems they even decided to include a very certain detestable white hooded clan. But luckily, we get to make absolute fools out of them with Arthur, and Rockstar really didn’t do them any favors either. We get to sneak in on their meetings in Lemoyne, and in one of these, we get to see them accidentally light themselves on fire. Not very bright of them!
Booing the Performers
In Red Dead Redemption 2, we have the pleasure of experiencing Rockstar’s latest version of their ever-present social system, with similar mechanics such as in the game “Bully” although a bit less savage! This comes into play in a hilarious manner when you visit theaters, such as the one in Saint Denis. As the act goes on, we get the option to roast the performers on full blast by antagonizing them and booing them. Arthur’s a cultured man who expects ONLY the best of performances! If only they gave us some tomatoes…
Having a Little Too Much to Drink
Among things like a hot bath, another thing you’ll wanna do after an honest day’s work is to just crack open a cold one. But in the time of the wild west, nothing’s stopping you from going at it in the morning either! Players always have the option of heading to the saloon for a shot of whiskey or a beer. And when you do, Arthur’s dialogue with people gets a little unhinged. They’re among some of the funniest voice lines in the game, and all you have to do is knock back a few and then go interact with people. The funniest ones are at camp!
Talking to Yourself in a Mirror
When you’re tired of discovering and sightseeing in Saint Denis, you can go and look at yourself instead; in a mirror. This is one thing most players would have missed, and it just shows how attentive to detail Rockstar always is. Heading to a hotel room and standing in front of a mirror will bring up a button prompt to look at your reflection, and doing so brings up another button prompt for making comments. Some of them honestly make you feel kinda bad for Arthur, but there’s a few funny lines in there too!
Spontaneously Combusting Horse
Chances are you’ve ridden past Rhodes a million times, and you’ve probably been on this road too. But there’s a peculiar bug that might cause any passing horses and carriages to burst into flames! It also causes the horses to lose all health instantly, so you gotta be careful. Waiting there for a while will allow you to see the absolute chaos this glitch causes, and you could even salvage some loot out of the horse pouches if you wanted to. These guys have no idea what’s going on!
Misleading a Drunk
There’s a lot of reasons why Valentine is one of the best towns in the game, but this is one of the better ones. If you have no qualms about being a little evil, you can mislead this poor drunk into thinking the stables are his home. You can usually find him hanging around the sheriff’s station, where he’ll approach you and ask for your help in finding his way home. If you decide to mislead him, you’ll find yourself in one of the funniest encounters in the game. The drunk’s lines are absolutely hilarious!
Micah’s Terrible Flirting
Once again, it would seem that some of the funniest moments in the game happen to be the most missable and well-hidden ones. Did you know that Micah is completely terrible at flirting? It should come as no surprise that this cold-hearted and brutal cowboy gets rejected with every attempt, but the interactions are pretty funny. Aside from just a single encounter, each attempt fails and most of them are just downright awkward! If you weren’t already angry with him, you WILL be after hearing his flirting! It seems Micah just doesn’t know how to behave.
A Quick Favor
Uncle is easily one of the funniest characters in Red Dead Redemption 2, every interaction with him is hilarious. Some of the funniest dialogue in the entire game takes place in the epilogue mission “A Quick Favor for an Old Friend” where Uncle helps John set up Beecher’s Hope. It’s unquestionable that Uncle is the most effective comedic relief in the game, but this one was especially needed with how tense things had gotten for John at this point. Eventually, things take a turn and the mission turns into a rescue for Uncle having been kidnapped. Despite how serious things end up, it’s got some of the funniest dialogue in the game!
Naked Swimmer
The random factor of some of the things that happen in Red Dead Redemption 2 is what makes it so good, and it’s how Rockstar catches us off guard with absolutely hysterical humor. Early on not long after Kieran joins up with the gang, he and Arthur go fishing at a lake near the camp. Nearing the end of their fishing, they meet a guy who had gone for a swim nearby who came a little too close. This can actually happen as a random encounter, too! So if you go fishing in Red Dead Redemption 2, be careful you don’t get flashed!
