Everything You Should Know About No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise Heads will roll as Travis finally touches down with his Beam Katana on the PlayStation 3. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re filling you in on everything you should know about “No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise.” Developed for fans and newcomers alike, this is an HD re-mastering of Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda 51’s over the top anime epic, “No More Heroes.” Originally a Wii exclusive when it debuted in 2008 on Nintendo’s home console, Travis Touchdown will now re-live his original adventure with a slew of exciting new additions. The premise is simple, Travis is a man obsessed with anime, manga and video games. Living in poverty in a motel room within the fictional town of Santa Destroy, California, he ventures forth with the beam Katana he won in an online auction. Using this deadly tool, he accepts jobs by the mysterious and alluring Sylvia to hunt down and kill the world’s greatest assassins. Requiring entry cash to challenge his opponents, he works his way up the ranks to become the world’s deadliest hitman. Retaining the original’s aesthetic design and appeal, including its retro 8-bit vibe, Heroes’ paradise includes all of the original’s content, while packing in new bosses and modes, including characters from the sequel “No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.” As before, Santa Destroy is split into three different sections, and Travis can freely explore the world around him in his downtime between missions. He accomplishes this on foot or by riding his hulking motorbike. Of course, gamers can take on bizarre part time jobs and side quests to earn extra income to purchase weapon upgrades, training sessions and clothes. These usually involve mini-games, such as collecting coconuts, or battles through countless henchmen who will be slashed into coins following brutally devastating attacks. Of course, the humor is still present, with players doing such offbeat things as saving Travis’ progress by giving him a bathroom break. Not just packed with outrageous bosses and a HD facelift, Heroes’ Paradise includes a “Rebout Mode.” This allows you to fight old foes to your heart’s content, and to re-watch cutscenes. Of course, the adventure retains all of its original motion controls through the use of the Move controller, while you’re also free to use the standard dual shock to rip apart your opposition the old fashion way. Either way you slice it, No More Heroes: Heroes’ Paradise is a thrilling and highly unconventional action game that both first time players and die hard fans will enjoy when they pop it into their PS3.
