The Cirque du Soleil show, TOTEM, tells the story of human evolution – beginning in an amphibian state, finally reaching our desire to fly. Borrowing from Darwinian Theory, as well as various founding myths, the show aims for authenticity, in addition to artistic beauty. Written and directed by multidisciplinary artist Robert Lepage, who has previously worked with the troupe on the 2004 show KA, TOTEM is his first show under the big top.
