10 Unhinged RuPaul's Drag Race Post-Show DRAMA SAGAS

10 Unhinged RuPauls Drag Race Post-Show Drama Sagas
Welcome to MsMojo, and today well be spilling the tea on the most chaotic series of incidents involving Drag Race queens that largely unfolded after the show.
Gia Gunn Opened the Doors
Season 14 of Drag Race made history in many ways. It brought the shows first heterosexual, cisgender male contestant and marked the first time five transgender queens competed in a single season. When the cast was revealed, Gia Gunn celebrated their inclusion with a tweet implying that she opened the door for such representation. While Gia was the first openly trans contestant on an All Stars season, other trans queens from earlier seasons pushed back, with Carmen Carrera emphasizing that such progress was the result of a collective effort. Gia further stirred controversy when she doubled down in an interview with YouTuber Matt Cullen, stating that the trans queens who competed on the show before her simply didnt present as female.
The Unaired All Stars 7 Reunion
The All Stars: All Winners season was widely praised by both critics and the Drag Race fandom. However, many of the queens were dissatisfied with how things played out on the show. As a result, they came together to film an unofficial reunion, reportedly hosted by Bob the Drag Queen. News of the reunion spread after Trinity the Tuck confirmed on social media that it had been recorded over Zoom. But just as fans grew thirsty for the behind-the-scenes tea, the networks seemingly stepped in and blocked the release, as it was produced without their approval. Unfortunately, this means we may never get to see the footage, which is especially disappointing because according to Season 11 winner Yvie Oddly, it was one for the books.
Who Is SheDevilByNight?
Drag Race fans turned into amateur sleuths when the identity of a controversial Reddit user came into question. Between 2019 and 2021, the account SHEdevilBYnight was active on the RuPaulsDragRace subreddit, posting almost exclusively about one queen: Trinity the Tuck. When a fan directly asked Trinity on Twitter if she was behind the profile, she replied that she was, which many took as a confirmation. Soon after, users began highlighting posts in which the account claimed to be a trans person of color and frequently defended Trinity, using these to buttress their stance. However, subsequent tweets by Trinity suggest that her admission may have been sarcastic. Trinity has since denied any involvement, and since the account is now deleted, the true identity of SHEdevilBYnight remains a mystery.
Derrick Barry & India Ferrahs Feud Escalates
For those living under a rock, these two queens fell out after Derrick Barrys partner was hired to replace India Ferrah at a Vegas nightclub. Their feud was reignited during a Pit Stop episode when Bob the Drag Queen referenced a moment from All Stars 5. In response, India took to social media to hit back at Derrick. However, her use of the word slave on Juneteenth was pointed out as inappropriate by Shea Couleé. This triggered a new round of back-and-forths, revisiting the All Stars 5 drama when India claimed there was a plot to eliminate Shea. Derrick later entered the fray with a jab about Indias dental hygiene, which got even more attention when another queen replied with a picture. Ultimately, India deactivated her Twitter account.
Tamisha Iman Is Coming for Everyone
This legendary drag queen defied the odds to compete on Season 13, ultimately finishing in 11th place. However, since then, Tamisha Iman has been surrounded by controversy. It began with the launch of her official merch, which received a high volume of orders. But many of these went unfulfilled. Instead of apologizing and trying to resolve the issue, Tamisha lashed out at fans who asked about their missing items. Then, she accused Monét X Change of repeatedly criticizing her on the podcast Sibling Rivalry, and launched the Tamisha Iman Network, a subscription-based platform, where she promised to clap back. But the project quickly lost momentum. Its only notable release was a reunion with Kandy Muse to address their past conflict, but even that was criticized as underwhelming.
Farrah Moan & Trinity the Tuck Butt Heads
Although they both shared the screen on two different seasons, Farrah Moan and Trinity the Tuck are far from friendly. Their feud began in 2021, when Farrah publicly criticized Trinity for performing at a brunch show during the pandemic. Although it simmered down afterwards, the beef was rekindled in 2024 when Trinity appeared on Sibling Rivalry and named Farrah as a queen she doesnt like, again referencing the brunch show as the source of their fallout. Things quickly escalated from there. Farrah responded with a story alleging that Trinity had made transphobic remarks during a dinner they shared with Farrahs then-boyfriend, a trans man. However, Trinity denied the accusation, claiming Farrah exaggerated her story and wrongly attributed someone elses comments to her.
Arrietty vs. Irene the Alien
They once were drag daughter and mother, but the familial relationship between Arrietty and Irene the Alien has since deteriorated. Shortly after Arriettys controversial run on Season 17, Irene was asked by her fellow All Stars 10 queen, Mistress Isabelle Brooks, about the status of their relationship. She revealed that it had fallen apart due to an issue involving money, character and/or a man. Arrietty later responded on Twitter, seemingly confirming that money was the main cause. But then, she accused Irene of racist behavior and engaging in inappropriate activity with minors. After receiving backlash, Arrietty deleted the tweets and, days later, issued a statement describing her claims as inappropriate and unnecessary. She apologized to Irene and expressed a commitment to doing better moving forward.
Elliott With 2 Ts Remarks & Alleged On-Set Behavior
Before Season 13 even began airing, Elliott with 2 Ts had already sparked controversy. While reacting to the Meet the Queens video, Elliott described Symones drag as Black Girl Magic that wasnt aggressive. Fellow contestant Kandy Muse criticized Elliott for that remark, and also accused her of making racial microaggressions during production. Then, Gottmik revealed, on an episode of his podcast, that a Season 13 queen had made transphobic comments on set. Although he didnt name anyone, Kandy confirmed he was referring to Elliott. Fast forward to 2024, Elliott sat for an interview to address the controversy. But instead of quelling the backlash, it only reignited it. Elliott received even more criticism for apparently avoiding accountability and trying to paint herself as the victim.
Sherry Pies Disqualification
Shortly after the 12th season of Drag Race premiered, several men came forward accusing one of the contestants, Sherry Pie, of sexual misconduct. They alleged that Sherry had posed as a casting director named Allison Mossey and coerced them into sending explicit pictures and videos under the false promise of Broadway roles. After admitting to the allegations and posting an apology on Facebook, Sherry was disqualified by VH1 and World of Wonder. The producers then took the unprecedented step of heavily editing her out of the season, allowing her to appear only when absolutely necessary. Since then, Sherry has made several attempts to stage a comeback, including making a televised apology on the talk show Tamron Hall. However, none have been successful.
The Unraveling of King Tyra
Since winning Drag Race Season 2, it has been downhill for King Tyra. Things started to unravel in 2017 when he posted a fake obituary for Morgan McMichaels, linking it to his SoundCloud page. Then, in 2018, Tyra was banned from attending DragCon after posting cryptic messages that suggested he intended to carry out something sinister there. But that paled in comparison to his actions in 2025. In January, news broke that The Vivienne had passed away. As heartfelt tributes poured in, Tyra made an insensitive post referencing an old tweet she had directed at him. Just three months later, after Jiggly Calientes passing, he made a similarly mocking remark about her health struggles. This behavior led many to call for Tyra to be stripped of the crown.
