10 RuPaul's Drag Race Queens Who Fell Off the Map

Season 8

Although she was eliminated halfway through her original season, moments like her roller-skating lip sync against Cynthia Lee Fontaine ensured she wouldn’t be forgotten. That all changed in 2018, when she claimed to have been injured in a car accident that had taken the life of her Uber driver. It wasn’t long before it was revealed that neither the rideshare company nor the police had reported the alleged death. The queen confessed and apologized, but the damage from the lie was done. She withdrew from the public eye and hasn’t emerged since. Some of her own Season 8 sisters have claimed to not know where she is, which has all but confirmed that she won’t be returning to the spotlight anytime soon.

Sasha Belle

Season 7

Being eliminated early on makes it hard to make a lasting impact on the viewers. Few may understand that as well as Sasha Belle, who was sent home after just two episodes on the seventh season of the series. After her short-lived run, she continued performing, and even won a couple of pageants throughout the 2010s. In recent years, she’s switched lanes entirely. She shed her former drag identity, including her name, and re-emerged as Frisbee Jenkins. She’s also pivoted to creating online content for a more adult fanbase. With more early-outs being selected to compete on a season of “All Stars,” there’s a chance that she – or Frisbee – could return for the ultimate Rudemption.

Aiden Zhane

Season 12

In the blink of an eye, she went from bedroom queen to a nationally-known contestant on Season 12 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Despite the huge spike in exposure seemingly overnight, Aiden Zhane struggled with the challenges and ultimately faded to the background among the other huge personalities competing alongside her. The finale being held virtually and countless bars being closed due to COVID didn’t help. Afterwards, she briefly pivoted to music. However, her presence online faded significantly. In 2024, she explained that she had pulled back from her drag persona, and cited creative and financial issues as the reasons why. Though she claimed she wasn’t quitting, as of 2025 she hasn’t returned– leaving fans hoping her time in the spotlight isn’t done for good.

Widow Von’Du

Season 12

Her strong start during the twelfth season of the series indicated that she would eventually be called back for a season of “All Stars.” Unfortunately, a 2021 incident may have removed that opportunity from Widow Von’Du’s future for good. That year, she was arrested after a domestic dispute. According to the victim, he was reportedly subjected to an array of attacks, including being repeatedly punched and even choked. As a result, he was hospitalized and required over a dozen stitches. Von’Du insisted it was a case of self-defense rather than assault, but she was arrested and eventually made to serve probation. Since then, her social media has been active – but it’s unclear if she’ll be invited back for a second chance at the crown.

Alisa Summers

Season 4

She was a queen for all seasons….except the one she was eliminated from, and every other season following it. After being sent home in the very first episode of the fourth season, Alisa Summers didn’t have a chance to build up a potential fanbase. The cast being made up of dramatic, larger-than-life personalities didn’t help, which caused her to fall by the wayside well before the season had even ended. She hasn’t maintained much of a social media presence on any platform, which has resulted in her being overshadowed by the dozens of contestants from various franchises that have come after her. It’s not clear if she’ll ever return to the limelight – or if she even wants to.

Magnolia Crawford

Season 6

In recent years, contestants in split premieres have either been brought back or avoided elimination altogether. Past queens didn’t get that same opportunity, which has led to some – including Magnolia Crawford – fading into the background. It didn’t help that Crawford was open about only wanting exposure from the show, which soured fans against supporting her after her short-lived run. Her drag persona was eventually retired, and she has since pivoted to a career in comedy, where she performs under her government name. It seems her time in the “Drag Race” franchise has come to a permanent end, but we can only hope she gets all the exposure she ever wanted in her new endeavors.

Max

Season 7

Early outs aren’t the only ones who’ve struggled to find their footing since their original seasons. Even heavy-hitters – such as Max, who picked up two challenge wins during her run on Season 7 – have had trouble remaining in the limelight. Things started out strong for her, with a starring role in the web series “Agent Max.” She has sworn off an appearance on “All Stars” and cited her desire to not surround herself with people she felt were untrustworthy. Mental health struggles led to an indefinite break from the artform, with no indication of when she might return, if ever. She hasn’t posted on her Instagram since 2020, and reportedly hasn’t performed since 2022, which has had fans mourning the career she once could’ve had.

Ivy Winters

Season 5

Being propelled to near-instant fame is a lot to handle, even for the potential next drag superstar. Although Ivy Winters had a strong run with plenty of iconic looks during her time on the fifth season of the program, she made it clear afterwards that it was hard to adjust to her newfound exposure. After a few more years performing, she ultimately retired from drag in 2020. She made it clear she wanted to explore other creative ventures, and would return once she felt ready. Since then, she’s posted about all the new hobbies she’s tried and loved, from creating art pieces to growing flowers and herbs. While a comeback could be in the cards someday, she seems perfectly content with the life she’s curated.

Soju

Season 11

Not all forgotten queens are missed by the fanbase. Some are reviled– and for good reason. Soju didn’t make much of an impact on Season 11, with her being eliminated first. However, her being an early-out isn’t the reason for her limited online presence today. In 2021, she was accused of repeatedly assaulting a younger partner across a two-year period. The allegations continued, with two others sharing supposed instances of her transgressions. Soju first claimed they were the result of attempted blackmail. Afterwards, she deleted her social media. Since then, she’s remained off the grid. There’s a chance she could attempt a comeback after any legal battles, but some viewers are likely not disappointed with her perpetual anonymity.

Rebecca Glasscock

Season1

When the franchise was in its infancy, she was one of its first finalists. Yet, as the show has continued to grow, Rebecca Glasscock has completely distanced herself from it. She retired from the artform in 2016, and stated that she needed to do so in order to allow her to thrive out of drag. However, she hasn’t completely left the scene. She’s been content competing in and winning male pageants, and has maintained her love for drag. Rebecca briefly returned two years after retiring for a cameo in the Season 10 finale, but other than that, it seems as though she’s gone for good. However, Javier is here to stay– and we can only hope he continues to thrive off the grid.
