#10: Flaming Wallet

An ordinary moment at the register quickly becomes anything but that. That’s because a customer’s wallet unexpectedly catches on fire for a few short seconds. Making it even weirder is how neither the customer nor the clerk have a reaction. This raises a ton of questions. Why did the wallet spontaneously combust? Is the cash inside the wallet safe or horribly burnt? And why the heck didn’t anybody react to this dang thing? There’s actually a magic trick where a person can open a wallet and trigger some flames. However, the person in the video hardly looks like a magician which just makes the whole thing weirder. Is this someone playing tricks on us or are wallets suddenly safety hazards? We’ll let you decide.

#9: Redbox Repetition

Though Redbox has sadly become a relic of the past it might have also become a source for anomalies. There’s a picture that shows two Redboxes being used by two different women who are wearing the exact same clothes. It’s pretty freaky to see people be so in sync with one another. Considering there’s minor differences like the hand placements of each woman it also means it’s unlikely that a photo of one woman was duplicated and doctored to look like two. Maybe these ladies are twins who dress exactly like each other, or maybe doppelgangers are real. Besides similar outfits, maybe they also have similar tastes in films. Like imagine if they rented the same movie too, now that’d be extra freaky!

#8: What the Dog Doing?

For probably every pet lover it’d be their dream to have a dog spawn out of thin air but what if that actually happened? Obviously this is kind of impossible but it sure looked like it happened in this video. We see some cars going past a road and then a dog mysteriously appears in the middle of the frame. One second there was nothing, the next there was a dog. At least now we finally know what the dog’s doing, and it’s showing up on highways! So what’s the explanation? Is this some clever video editing or have we just discovered the existence of magic? Are magical canines going to start spawning everywhere? Still probably a pretty good scenario if you’re a pet lover.

#7: Carpet or Counter?

In this photo we see the hand of a person holding a key and there’s an object next to that key. We’re purposely being vague by calling it an object because, well, truthfully, we don’t exactly know what it is. It could either be someone’s carpet, or it could be a kitchen countertop. Thankfully this anomaly is actually a little bit more explainable than most. You see, in photography there’s something called forced perspective. It’s a trick where you can use optical illusions to make objects seem bigger or smaller than they really are. That being said, this still looks pretty mind boggling. And forced perspective or not, we’re still not sure if it’s a carpet or a counter! What do you think it is?

#6: Spinning Tree

How many times have you seen a tree just spin on its own? We’re guessing never. Until now. This video shows exactly that and it's as perplexing as it looks, especially since this clip doesn’t show us what’s causing the spinning. Trees are technically living organisms, sure, but the way it’s moving makes it seem like it’s actually sentient and has a mind of its own! Maybe this is caused by the wind? Strong gusts of wind can move trees. Then again, can wind rotate a tree slowly like this? This video is from an art installation called “Free Willow”, so the spinning is likely man-made through some sort of special machinery. Still though, how this trick is being pulled off is a real headscratcher!

#5: Crowd Frozen in Place

This isn’t just one of those moments when you’re left confused, this is also a pretty scary sight. In this video a group of people are seemingly frozen in place. They don’t speak or move or give any indication that they’re fine. They’re pretty much statues. It’s a chilling scene but there could be an explanation for what happened. There’s been social experiments done where people go out in public and stay completely still for large portions of time to see how others react. Social experiments or not, it’s still creepy to find a group of people stuck in place like this. We’re hoping this was just a harmless experiment because otherwise this is extremely concerning.

#4: Floating Flame

Any time that we stumble across something that seems to defy the laws of physics it’s an incredibly odd thing to say the least, and yeah, this case is no different. With this brief clip we see a lighter being used. But when the flame ignites, it seems to float a noticeable amount higher than the lighter itself. What’s causing the height gap between the fire and the lighter? Well it could maybe be explained with science. Levitating a flame is apparently a neat trick of sorts that can be done through modifying a lighter in a certain way. Given that this could be extremely dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing we’re skipping over specific details. Warning: don’t try this at home, people!

#3: Moving Manhole Cover

You ever hear those stories of people getting injured or even dying by falling into manholes? Yeah those things are pretty scary and now they’re even more scary. With this particular piece of footage we see a manhole cover shaking erratically on its own. It’s unclear what’s causing it to act up like this but it makes you wonder if there’s something dangerous brewing underground. There’s this nervous feeling like at any moment the manhole cover will shoot up like a rocket. Maybe it’s just some weird pressure fluctuations or maybe the teenage mutant ninja turtles are about to jump out and attack us! Ok well, technically the turtles are good guys, but you know what we mean. Beware of manhole covers!

#2: Ring in the Sky

We might be sounding a little bit dramatic but this seems like a sign of the apocalypse. Seriously, what the heck is up with this video? It shows a strange black ring forming over a skyscraper. It hovers above the building and then slowly moves through the sky too. Now this is something that straight up looks like it’s out of a horror movie. Sure it’s just a circle but it also is floating around in the sky and we have no clue how or why it’s up there. If that doesn’t make you a little concerned or confused then we don’t know what will. Perhaps this is just a bunch of birds in formation, or maybe it’s special effects, but regardless it’s seriously unnerving.

#1: Scarlett Johansson Disappears Someone

We know Scarlett Johansson primarily because she’s a major movie star, but maybe she’s also a major magician? In a video that shows her doing an interview on the red carpet, there’s a strange anomaly that happens right behind her. Scarlet’s mother walks behind her and then disappears out of frame completely. The way the whole thing goes down it’s like the woman was absorbed or something because she’s just nowhere to be found. It almost certainly has to be an optical illusion of some sort but it’d be funny if ScarJo secretly had the ability to make people vanish. She killed it as Black Widow in the MCU but judging from this clip maybe she should’ve been playing the Scarlet Witch instead!
