Norwegian History and Culture

Found in Norway’s capital city, the Oslo Opera House houses the national opera and ballet company. It is one of the country’s largest cultural buildings, and its unique architectural design makes the Opera House a piece of art itself. Also found in Oslo is Edvard Munch’s famous painting “The Scream,” and it can be viewed at the National Gallery of Norway. The country’s origins as a home for the Vikings can be seen at Oslo’s Viking Ship Museum.
