For this list, we’ll be breaking down all of the necessary info that you’ll need going into the premier of the upcoming “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff “Station 19”, which will make its network debut on Thursday, March 22nd! The show’s got some big name producers. Stacey McKee, who’s served as a producer on more than 200 episodes. Joining them will be Betsy Beers (awesome name alert), who’s served as an executive producer on every single Shondaland production to date; and Paris Barclay, who’s worked on everything from “NYPD Blue” to “Sons of Anarchy”. There will also crossover with “Grey’s Anatomy.” The frequency of these crossovers remains to be seen, but it stands to reason that firefighters and medical professionals working in close proximity to one another have an above average chance of habitually running into each other. Just saying…

Top 5 Facts About Station 19

From its famous executive producer on down, this show appears poised to be a sure”fire” hit . . .pun definitely intended. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 5 Facts About Station 19.

For this list, we’ll be breaking down all the necessary info that you’ll need about the newest Shondaland offering, the “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff “Station 19”.

#5: It’s Gonna Be Fire

“Station 19” will focus on both the personal and professional lives of a group of Seattle firefighters (who are also trained EMTs) as they struggle to contain both towering infernos and their own burning inner demons. This show is going to be HOT HOT HOT in every way. Hey, it’s not the first “Grey’s Anatomy” spinoff and we’re betting that it won’t be the last! Seeing as how “Private Practice” (xref) ran for a very respectable six seasons, and enjoyed plenty of critical and commercial success, we have high hopes for this newest byproduct of everyone’s favorite long-running medical dramedy.

#4: It’s Got Some Big Name Producers

Shonda Rhimes is representing, and she’s bringing along a slew of talented producers with her! This time around, the celebrated showrunner will be taking a backseat to her longtime “Grey’s Anatomy” collaborator Stacey McKee, who’s served as a producer on more than 200 episodes. Joining them will be Betsy Beers (awesome name alert!), who’s served as an executive producer on every single Shondaland production to date; and Paris Barclay, who’s worked on everything from “NYPD Blue” to “Sons of Anarchy”. Oh and we almost forgot: Ellen Pompeo is also a co-executive producer. Excited yet?

#3: You’ll See Familiar Faces

“Station 19” will feature a nice mixture of both fresh faces and seasoned vets. The show will be lead, in true Shondaland fashion, by a strong female character, played by Jaina Lee Ortiz, who made a splash on the short lived police procedural, “Rosewood”. She will be joined by the appropriately-named Grey Damon, best known for his work on “Aquarius”; and Jason George (Ben Warren on “Grey’s Anatomy”). Rounding out the supporting cast will be character actor Miguel Sandoval as well as Okieriete Onaodowan, who made a name for himself in the Broadway sensation “Hamilton”. Now we’ll see if they can find the right chemistry to turn “Station 19” into a hit!

#2: Oh, There Will Be Drama

This show’s trailer sets up a whack of tantalizing scenarios primed to yield enough heavy drama to keep even the most ardent of critics entertained. It kicks off with the dramatic hospitalization of Captain Pruitt Herrera, setting the stage for his daughter Andy to fill his shoes. We also get strong hints that a love triangle may just be brewing between Andy, her fellow firefighter Jack (the aforementioned Grey Damon), and Ryan, a Seattle PD officer, who happens to be Andy’s high school flame. Based on this fiery trailer, “Station 19” is poised to be just as intense as its predecessor!

#1: Get Ready for Crossovers with “Grey’s Anatomy”

Notice anything else in the trailer? It wastes no time informing viewers that the “Executive Producers of Grey’s Anatomy take you three blocks down and into the fire.” Establishing a link between the titular fire station and Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital was no fluke; and the fact that none other than Meredith Grey pops up a short while later, proves that the two shows will undoubtedly cross paths. The frequency of these crossovers remains to be seen, but it stands to reason that firefighters and medical professionals working in close proximity to one another have, oh, an above-average chance of habitually running into each other. Just sayin’…
