#8: Sofia Vergara

Sofia Vergara rose into prominence through her performance as Gloria Delgado-Pritchett on “Modern Family,” and thanks to her natural beauty and comedic chops, Vergara quickly became one of the most marketable celebrities in the business. This actress/model has appeared in commercials for Diet Pepsi, State Farm, and Comcast, just to name a few. She’s additionally designed an exclusive fashion line for Kmart, which has only strengthened her brand. Even before Vergara was a household name, however, she was already an ambitious entrepreneur, co-founding the talent agency Latin World Entertainment in 1994. She might be best known for playing a trophy wife, but Vergara is so much more than a pretty face.

#7: Kathy Ireland

Kathy Ireland is one of the most successful supermodels who ever lived, appearing in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for 13 years in a row. As a result of her modeling career, Ireland became a prosperous businesswoman. In 1993, she not only received her own clothing line at Kmart, but also founded kathy ireland Worldwide. Starting out as a brand marketing company, kiWW now sells over 15,000 products, including clothing, jewelry, and home décor, and as of 2015 has an estimated revenue of $2.5 billion. Ireland herself, meanwhile, is said to have a personal fortune of $420 million. Her modeling days might be in the past, but Ireland continues to grow as an entrepreneur.

#6: Tyra Banks

A former Victoria's Secret angel and the first African American woman to appear on the covers of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue and GQ, Tyra Banks has a few secrets of her own. Founding Ty Ty Baby Productions- now known as Bankable Productions- Banks would go on to produce hit programs like “America's Next Top Model” and “The Tyra Banks Show,” not to mention the 2008 film, “The Clique.” Whether she’s in front of the camera or working behind the scenes, Tyra is nothing short of fierce.

#5: Victoria Beckham

Posh Spice has certainly come a long way since her girl group days. Where some of her girl power peers have faded into obscurity, Victoria Beckham currently stands out as one of the wealthiest women in Britain. Beckham’s singing career might’ve put her on the map, but she reached another level of fame and fortune upon shifting her focus to fashion. In 2008, she launched the Victoria Beckham fashion label, which has since become a major part of New York Fashion Week. In 2014, Management Today deemed Beckham the most successful entrepreneur in the UK, and she has a reported net worth of $300 million to prove it.

#4: Jessica Simpson

Although she has a rep as the stereotypical ditzy blonde, Jessica Simpson has proven herself time and again to be a cunning entrepreneur. Outside of her singing career, the pop star has dominated the fashion and beauty world. She initially left her mark on the industry in 2004 with the Jessica Simpson Dessert beauty line. The Jessica Simpson Collection, a fashion line comprised of clothing, shoes, handbags, fragrances, and other products followed soon after. She’s even released an elegant line of maternity clothing, demonstrating that she truly understands what women want. Over the past decade, the Jessica Simpson Collection has evolved into a billion dollar empire, justly earning Simpson the title of Fashion's Billion Dollar Baby.

#3: Jessica Alba

While Jessica Alba's film choices haven't always been hit after hit, she’s made some very wise financial decisions. In 2012, the actress co-founded The Honest Company, a consumer goods business that specializes in non-toxic, eco-friendly household items. As a mother of two, Alba stated that she “created The Honest Company to help moms and to give all children a better, safer start." In 2015, Alba’s business expanded with the Honest Beauty brand, offering a series of quality cosmetics and skincare products. That same year, the Honest Company officially joined the billion-dollar club. Alba, meanwhile, continues to thrive with a reported net worth of $340 million.

#2: Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen

In the 90s and early 2000s, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were two of the most merchandisable actresses in showbiz. In addition to starring as Michelle Tanner on “Full House,” they released a series of movies and TV shows through their company, Dualstar. While they’ve virtually retired from acting, the Olsen twins have blossomed into incredibly wealthy fashion entrepreneurs. In 2004, they released a Wal-Mart clothing and beauty line entitled, "Mary-Kate and Ashley: Real fashion for real girls.” Since then, they’ve produced a variety of other fashion lines, such as The Row, Olsenboye, and Elizabeth & James. Still, as busy as they clearly are, is too much to ask for at least one Olsen to make an appearance on “Fuller House”?

Before we get to our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions:

Suzanne Somers

Gwen Stefani

#1: Oprah Winfrey

As if any one else could have possibly topped this list! Following her Oscar-nominated performance in “The Color Purple,” Oprah Winfrey scored her own talk show. She subsequently became one of the most influential celebrities on the planet, making leeway for countless business ventures. She most notably founded Harpo Productions in 1986. In addition to “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Harpo has produced several other hit programs, like “Dr. Phil” and “The Dr. Oz Show,” as well as multiple Oscar darlings, including “Precious” and “Selma.” From O Magazine, to Oprah's Book Club, to Oprah Winfrey Network, her brand knows no bounds. She’s an entertainment mogul unlike any other, maintaining a net worth of nearly $3 billion.
