Top 10 Hilarious Movie Toilet Scenes

Bathroom humor might be lowbrow, gross, and childish, but that doesn’t mean it can’t also produce comedic gold. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we’re counting down our picks for the top 10 hilarious movie toilet scenes.

For this list, we’re taking a look at the funniest big screen scenes that occur on or in the vicinity of a toilet. Warning: this isn’t for those with a weak stomach or intolerance for flatulence gags.

#10: The Girl’s Crapper
“Detroit Rock City” (1999)

This scene from the ‘90s teen comedy has three KISS fans seeking refuge from a security guard in the one place he won’t look for them: the girls’ bathroom. Although they give the guard the slip, their sanctuary is soon intruded on by Lex’s crush from the second grade. Giggling uncontrollably as she breaks wind in the other stall, the three guys collapse on an unstable toilet. This causes water to spray everywhere and all the stalls to topple like dominos. You see, this is the exact reason why we shouldn’t have coed bathrooms.

#9: Glory Hole
“Scary Movie” (2000)

Every “Scary Movie” is notorious for working in at least one toilet-related joke. The one that still has us laughing the hardest is the glory hole scene from the original. Shawn Wayans stumbles into a bathroom where the urinals have been remodeled into some sort of carnival game. If that’s not bizarre enough, matters get even stranger when Wayans hears a noise coming from a glory hole. What he discovers inside is equally funny, cringe-inducing, and lethal.

#8: We’ve Got a Bleeder
“There’s Something About Mary” (1998)

After watching this scene from the popular gross-out rom-com, it shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone that most household accidents happen in the bathroom. When Ted’s leak leads to inadvertent voyeurism, panic leads to him zipping up his frank and beans right before prom. From there, the misfortune only continues to pile on. His date’s parents, a police officer, and a fire-fighter, all inspect the mutilated package. As for their solution to Ted’s predicament…well, let’s just say it will encourage any young man to be more careful with the built-in teeth attached to his pants.

#7: Finch Has Diarrhea
“American Pie” (1999)

Nobody likes using a public toilet, least of all “American Pie”‘s Paul Finch. When Stifler slips a little something into his mochaccino, though, Finch has no choice but to confront his greatest phobia. Poor Finch can’t even find a toilet seat cover as he attempts to keep his diarrhea at bay. To add insult to injury, Finch discovers that he’s gone into the ladies’ room by mistake. Needless to say, none of the girls will go to prom with Finch now. Good thing Stifler’s mom didn’t hear about the incident.

#6: Poo Cocktail Supreme
“Jackass 3D” (2010)

For all the indecency in the “Jackass” movies, it’s hard to deny that Johnny Knoxville and company are actually pretty creative. Because it takes a unique set of geniuses to envision a stunt like the Poo Cocktail Supreme. In this revamp of a stunt from the “Jackass” pilot, the gang literally takes things to all new levels, strapping the fearless Steve-O into a porta-potty attached to bungee cords and skyrocketing him into the heavens. This concoction of poo and vomit is even more glorious to watch in 3D.

#5: Battleshits
“Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle” (2004)

Most men like to believe that women don’t even fart, let alone poop. In the first installment of the Harold & Kumar series, our titular heroes learn the sad truth about the opposite sex as they witness two attractive British girls going to the bathroom. Not only are the girls extremely gassy, they like to make a game out of their excreting called Battleshits. Suddenly, the two ladies aren’t looking all that desirable to the guys. They probably aren’t in the mood for tacos either. At least the girls didn’t have White Castle for dinner.

#4: It’s Coming Out of Me Like Lava
“Bridesmaids” (2011)

After getting food poisoning from a Brazilian restaurant, the bridesmaids and bride-to-be all rush to the bathroom at a bridal store. Since there’s only one toilet, though, they need to improvise. The comedic juggernaut that is Melissa McCarthy steals the whole scene from the 2011 rom-com, using the sink as a substitute to unleash a tidal wave of… well, you know. It’s sophisticated wit like this that made both McCarthy and screenwriter Kristen Wiig Oscar nominees. Isn’t that funny? Yeesh, the poor bride didn’t even make it to the john across the street....

#3: You’re Not Fingering My Mouth
“21 Jump Street” (2012)

If you were an undercover cop, how far would you go for your job? Would you make friends with a drug dealer? Would you consume a deadly drug? Would you finger your partner’s mouth? In this scene from “21 Jump Street,” Officers Schmidt and Jenko put their covers, partnership, and friendship to the ultimate test. When neither is able to vomit the HFS out of their systems, the two are forced to stick their fingers down each other’s throats. While this may not result with them vomiting into the toilet, it definitely leaves the audience vomiting with laughter.

#2: Who Does Number 2 Work For?
“Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery” (1997)

Nobody ever expects to be killed while going to the bathroom, making it the perfect place for a sneak attack. Like any good spy, however, Austin Powers is always able to use his environment to its full advantage. In this case, he gets the upper hand by using the toilet to drown his assailant. As Austin interrogates the assassin, a rich Texan completely misinterprets the situation in the neighboring stall. Once again, Mike Myers proves just how clever toilet humor can be in the right hands.

Before we flush down our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions:
- Please Make This Water Go Down
“Along Came Polly” (2004)
- I Peed on the Corpse
“Kiss Kiss Bang Bang” (2005)
- Toilet Humor
“Not Another Teen Movie” (2001)
- Where’s the Money, Lebowski?
“The Big Lebowski” (1998)
- I Missed!
“Daddy Day Care” (2003)

#1: Fast, Effective Relief
“Dumb and Dumber” (1994)

While “Dumb and Dumber”’s manly love toilet scene with Jim Carrey is undeniably uproarious, this scene featuring his buddy Jeff Daniels is simply the magnum opus of all bathroom comedy. After Harry sort-of steals his best pal’s dream girl, Lloyd seeks revenge by putting laxatives in his drink. On his big date, Harry rushes to the bathroom to release a hodgepodge of defecation sound effects. Then just when it looks like he’s in the clear, Harry learns that his troubles are just beginning. It’s truly the cherry on top of a brownie sundae.
