Before his politically fueled rap group or his time fighting crime on NBC's Law & Order spinoff, Special Victims Unit, Ice-T spent some time as an Army Ranger for four years. He went AWOL ut returned, and was punished. He became a rapper after his service was over.

Before he waas spinning the wheel of fortune, he was spinning records in the Vietnam war for armed forces radio as a DJ. He was one of the few lucky ones to have never fired a shot, but his service is appreciated nonetheless.

Thirty years before she became the strong willed feminist on Maude, during World War II, she served in the United States Marine Corps. After she left, she studied at the dramatic workshop in New York city in 1947. She died in 2009.

He began his career with bit parts in smaller movies, including Myra Breckinridge, Coma, and The Seven Minutes. He also appeared in number of TV series, mini-series and TV movies.
