Thin Mint cookies are one of the most popular Girl Scout cookies sold around the world, but Girl Scout troops are required to sell Thin Mint cookies. As unusual as it may seem, the Thin Mint cookies are very popular and bring in a lot of money for the Girl Scout troops! As if selling Girl Scout cookies wasn't hard enough!

Although Juliette Gordon Lowe founded Girl Scouts of America in 1912, girl scout cookie sales didn't start until 1917. Girl scout troops have kept the cookie selling tradition alive for more than 70 years.
