Microsoft was so convinced gamers didn't want another 3D platformer that Rare was forced to change it into a vehicle-based game. They even joke about it in the beginning through dialog about "wanting to reach out to new gamers" from LOG at the beginning of the game.

The game's original graphics from the E3 2012 demo were downgraded across all versions of Watch Dogs just so it would make the console versions look good.
