Smartphones and tablets have connected us in ways we never knew were possible. Beyond just calling and texting, now there's an app for nearly everything. Many companies we've known for years have even created their own apps. (Walmart, etc.) ".com" is practically a thing of the past.

Out with the late fees and in with the monthly memberships! With many video rental store franchises like Blockbuster going out of business and many people switching to services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, choosing what to watch has become much faster and easier.

Although not a new idea by any means, music festivals have played a large role in the 2010s. With several festivals reaching new heights in popularity, including Coachella, Bonnaroo, and the revival of Lollapalooza, as well as many newcomers sprouting over the course of the decade, it's pretty safe to say music festivals are here to stay.
