First Sonic could go Super. Then Sega went overboard with his transformations. Hyper,Dark,Darkspine,Werehog Exacalibur, and etc. He seems too much like Goku now.

Chip from Sonic Unleashed was introduced as a friendly companion. Sega then decided to kill him. Oh and there are also characters from Sonic 06 that people forgot.
