Invalid reason. GI robot is still alive after his backstory was revealed and Nina was given massive backstory in the Final episode. Weasel also got more focus and it is very likely that Ming Shark's backstory will be elaborate on in season 2

First off you are wrong on that. The squad in the second film had three monsters, four if you count Sebastian. Weasel and Mongal were on team 1 and king Shark and Sebastian were on team 2
