By far the most accurate to the book, the 1925 film has great performances and a brilliant deformity by the great Lon Chaney.

An entertaining, energy filled modernisation of The Phantom of the opera with brilliant songs. If you're looking for accuracy, you won't find it here, but it's a joy to watch nevertheless.
