Tim Burton's remake was closer to the book, & even if you don't like Depp's performance, it's still a fun family film with great visuals.

Some people might find the dark tone off putting, but Man of Steel works as an interesting & stunning new look at Superman. Besides, it's way better than "The Quest For Peace".
