It begins with Liam Neeson's character calling his daughter in Paris to check she's alright, but she's soon kidnapped and the former CIA Operative finds himself talking to the kidnapper. His monologue has quickly become an icon of pop culture, and is made all the more memorable by the mans two-word response, "good luck..."

When your a failing Talent Agent and pretty much your entire career rests on convincing one Football player to take you in is pretty big deal, you just have to comply with him when he asks you to repeatedly shout "SHOW ME THE MONEY" down the phone with confused office workers watching you. After Ron Burgundy watches his dog, his favourite thing in the whole world, be kicked over a bridge, he's understandably upset. So, he calls his work-buddy from a phone booth in a largely in audible series of screaming. It's short, it's sweet, but boy was it memorable!

By far the best moments of this Chiller are when the mysterious man phones the babysitter asking if she knows whether or not the kids are alive in the house. This was also brilliantly parodied by the movie Scream where Drew Barrymore realises the stranger flirting is after a little more than a date.

The Murder – Dial M For Murder (1954)

Alfred Hitchcock had a habit of putting his characters near phones, such as the phone booth scene in The Birds, but this was the only movie to centre on a phone-call. Although no memorable lines are said, it's the purpose which is unforgettable, so a man can dupe his wife into answering before she gets murdered. Hay, the clues in the title!
