As great as Monster is, it shouldn't be in the top 10. Even though the series has won many awards and was written and illustrated by the great Naoki Urasawa, who many see as the grandfather of psychological horror in Japan, and who's even won a Kodansha Award (not for Monster), I feel the manga falls flat towards the middle, around volume 12 or so.
