Telling the tale of a woman whose home is being raided by bandits, and simultaneously the British pilaging Ireland as they had throughout all of their empire, the beauty of this ditty's tone is matched only by it's simplicity that the writer used to describe the tragic tale.

Two boys however who were gifted with enough clarity to understand what it meant to be Christians and neighbours. They loved each other as friends should, and in the face of conlict have died as martyrs to a cause for peace in Northern Ireland's six counties.
