There was one huge historical mistake in this film that caused much criticism, and that was the fate of First Officer Will Murdoch. All that is confirmed to have happened to the Officer in the real events was that he certianly died though his body was never found, and last he was seen, he was helping passengers to get on boats. John Nash never actually worked in the Pentagon, and his hallucinations were purely auditory and not visual. Also what the film forgot to mention was that he had a neglected son with a nurse, and in reality his dramatic speech at the Nobel Prize winning never happened.
