Tolkien was one of the best fantasies. It made me want to read the books for the first time, including the Simarillion the back story of the franchise even if the Hobbit did seem like the back story.
Tbh MCU consist of some vary similar tone of movies, variation is negligible and lately this franchise is nothing but disappointment. I love comic books adaptations but MCU is the last thing I would want after the massacre of Hulk and others.
Never took an interest in the books. I didn't understand what the hype was about back in 1998. I used to see kids buying Harry Potter books and Pokemon cards at Borders Books and Music at a time. I liked the movies more than the books but seeing as how l didn't read the books
Batman should be the best franchise of time. Batman had been entertaining us in different platforms since 19th century. Indiana Jones is pretty awesome too, if you crossover this with the Star Wars and Willow franchise, then you got yourself a sort of George Lucas cinematic universe similarly to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe.
The James Bond movies are alright, but what interests me the most is simply just the women!

Back to the Future is good too, the first film was released in 1985, which in my own point of view is the best year for a number of movies and television series released in that very same year!
