This was the first Mickey Mouse cartoon to feature sound effects, and even have it sound like the characters, including Mickey's Boat Captain, are talking.

There weren't an awful LOT of Chip N Dale Cartoons during Disney's life, but this was one where Pete was an outlaw, and had more problems with two Chipmunks, then he did with Mickey, Donald & Goofy put together.

Sheriff's are usually the good guys whenever they try to uphold the law. Looks like Pete was trying to do just that when Mickey and Donald had problems paying their rent.

The latest Mickey Mouse Cartoon that blended hand-drawn animation, and CGI animation so well. We see a black-and-white, hand-drawn Mickey & Pete one moment, and see them in full CGI, and color the next. This cartoon may have used stock voice recording from previous Disney cartoons..., but who cares?
