All the elements work except for our male lead, who's more or less another annoying perverted male character designed to facilitate gratuitous fan service.
Also, the second season kicks just as much ass as the first.

Great anime, but I really wish it would lighten up a bit. Not too much, mind you, because then it becomes that horrible OVA that was released.

At first, we see an interesting romantic story, but the moment this is resolved, all that is left is a whole bunch of panty shots, main character tripping over stuff to accidentally grab girls' privates, nude shots, and dedications to the harem elements. Pretty much nothing BUT fanservice make this a decent anime to watch.
Not really the best anime out there, but in regards to fanservice, it pretty much stands as great material: yuri, girls fighting, panty shots and so on.
