I respect that you can't think straight when you're both madly in love and freezing to death, but Jack really should have put more effort into trying to get himself onto that wooden panel which had plenty of room for him. Or, Rose should have at least given him her life-jacket to keep him warm?

If the only thing that can kill you in the world is water, you'd think you'd make sure that no buckets of water were in your castle, let alone just left lying around. You'd also be more aware that setting a scarecrows arm in fire would cause someone to throw the water straight at you, right?

Data, an android who should have been able to calculate every single possibility of saving the day, should have realized that he could have used any of the other Enterprise shuttles rather than his own personal transporter, and seeing as he doesn't breathe, he could have dived out into space at just the right time and floated back to safety.

Sure, it was emotional and all, but it was completely needless. Even if the walls of the very ship she was going to levitate were really enough to block her from halting the tidal-wave, wouldn't it have been more logical to just do it from the doorway or break a window?
