This show was basically the trope starter, while not a great show, some episodes are interesting to watch and many of the crew who looked on the show would go on to work on the more polished Yellow Submarine

Love them or hate them (I'm mostly meh about them) Japan's female idol group AKB48's anime series with its ridiculous concept of a girl band in the future where music is banned, using their music and microphone light sabers (yes, I'm serious) to stop interplanetary warfare is surprisingly entertaining.
