Seven Samurai (1954) “Great movie that show how much of a master storyteller Kurosawa was, as well as serving as the template for many other movies. ”said Neville Ross 7 years ago“The best "eastern"...sorry... western ever and no guns needed. ”said rbabarro 6 years ago“Great film but overly long ”said Glitch Industries 6 years ago -
Rashomon (1950) “Defines the question 'what is truth?' as well as also serving as the template for many other similar movies like it. ”said Neville Ross 7 years ago -
Ran (1985) “One of the best Shakespeare's adaptations, Kurosawa observers what human chaos is....that's what Ran means "chaos" ”said jkellis 7 years ago -
Yojimbo (1961) “Has a very obvious western influence, punchy dialogue, and great action. Yojimbo, from it's first tracking shot to it's last lines of punchy dialogue, serves as an early, and excellent, example of an action film. This one's truly an example of how thoughtfully Kurosawa caries about a story. ”said Glitch Industries 6 years ago -
Throne of Blood (1957) “Sure, it's an adaption of Macbeth... but Toshiro Mifune's excellent performance, the moody cinematography, and chilling final scene inspired awe in me. A brilliant film on it's own; it can be unfair that people just consider it a 'good Macbeth adaption' ”said Glitch Industries 6 years ago -
