I think Mr. Freeze in the original cartoon is supposed to be a nerdy, sympathic yet tragic villan, and Arnold Schwarzenegger's "tough guy" performance doesn't do the role justice.

Far too young. Doesn't help that the character she was given to work with simply wasn't charismatic, or entertaining or simply likeable.
